No, of course there's nothing wrong with being emotional. People have emotions and that's okay. It would be hypocritical of me to say otherwise, because I'm not a replicant, and I wouldn't say it anyway because I'm not a Dark Lord. It's just that you get emotional over weird things, and - come on, let's be honest, you have a complete tendency to overreact. I don't think there's anything that bad about my situation. I'm well aware that it's not perfect, but I wouldn't want to trade it out for anything else.

Based on evidence, or hearsay? Because there's a very, uh - [ notorious? terrible? hilarious? ] - famous story about Peter Pettigrew and it didn't really prove anything except that Bill Weasley was temporarily insane.

Does this story have anything to do with Scabbers? Because that's what Pettigrew's been doing since the night everyone thought he died. (And he did in fact confess to it after we caught him and turned him in, at least in my timeline.)

... Obviously there are a lot of differences between my alternate universe and the other ones. It's the Scabbers story, but they tested it and proved it not to be Pettigrew, which is a good thing if you ask me because it would just be stupid to get caught doing that. Of course I know that. The whole Sorting thing is just completely flawed, because it doesn't take into account things like personal growth and it breeds all kinds of stereotypes. But Gryffindor is - not a house I would ever want to be in. Wannabe heroes and bullies, from my experience. The likeable or, Founders forbid, intelligent ones are the exception, not the rule.

Anyway, Draco and Hermione are my best friends, and they can be a little hard to balance, which I'm sure you can understand. But I'm trying to force them into an alliance, and it seems to be working so far. That's kind of an... everyday complication in my life, albeit one I brought upon myself.

It has a lot to do with it, actually. You're too young to be thinking about dating and girls. That's why it seems overwhelming.

That's...a difficult combination, definitely. I'm having a hard time seeing Malfoy accepting a Muggleborn as a friend.
