[He laughs at old and weird, not because it's untrue...but because it's something he's said to his own father when he was Aang's age. It should be noted that his laugh? Sounds an awful lot like Aang's....okay, and maybe a little like Sokka's.]

[Aang doesn't exactly listen to his own laugh most of the time, but he does not a slight similarity to Sokka's. But he doesn't get to dwell on it as he takes in what Bumi says.]

Bumi... passed? He... he was really old and all, and I guess I was lucky he was still around when I woke up from the iceberg, but... it still felt like he'd live forever somehow. I'm glad someone still remembered him by naming their son after him. I know I would if I ever had a son.
