To start, some might assume that he doesn't have much interest when it comes to me. 'My story', as it were.

[ It's rather difficult to elaborate without making the entire scenario seem like Alfons is patting himself on the back, so he'll defer to being concise instead. ]

[ Alfons' expression is genuine, if not tinged with concern around the edges. He can imagine this situation is far from being merely 'regretful' for some; especially those with people whom they need, or those that need them. Friends. Family. Lovers. He doesn't have that, exactly. Not anymore. So, whatever pain he feels, it surely must be worse for those who need to be active, and rekindle bonds with those they love. ]
