I would hardly call this a "bad decision". However, you would probably assume I'm biased. As you should.

[That was a joke, get it? Maybe not, but at least he has enough decency to not laugh at his own jokes.]

You're probably not serious about it anyway. I was under the assumption that you liked me. Am I wrong?

[That was a rhetorical question, as he is never wrong, you see.]

I suppose it's more to do with a lack of trust? I can see how that could happen. Rest assured that the more humans speak of the Lord as if they know everything about Him, the less likely they are to know anything about Him.

The same can be said for a number of other subjects, actually. But it is especially true in this case.

I should thank you for at least opening up to me.

This is a nice surprise, if slightly embarrassing. It brought back some pleasant memories and it's wonderful to see him again, but at the same time he was drawing waaaaaaaay too much attention and Michael just clears his throat and adjusts his tie.]

Enoch, please get up.

*Enoch looks up and stands.* It...seemed proper.

[Wow, he actually chuckled. He missed seeing Enoch like this. As a...well.]

I know. But let's pretend that doesn't matter right now, alright?

[warriorscribe]

All right.

*He pauses. Shifts a bit awkwardly.* ...Thank you for your guidance.

*Even if his "guidance" was all just commentary. Any and every piece of companionship was welcome, and it was good for Lucifel to have his brother around, too.*

Hmmn. [He was probably talking about during his mission to the Tower. That felt like ages ago. Michael smiled a little.]

*Yeah, that was the elephant in the room, wasn't it? There was no solid fourth wall here, given how the premise of the community necessitated knowledge of the mundane...he's gotten used to the fourth wall fast.

It means he badly wants to ask what happens to him, but knows full well that this Michael doesn't have the answer.*

[archditz]

[And he just...stares back. After a little bit, he steps closer and clears his throat, which is more of a habit that he just developed rather than any actual need to clear it.]

Tell her that I'm sorry I couldn't prevent whatever happens to me. That she couldn't be different. Nobody should have to live the way she does...

It wasn't your fault, Enoch. We're doing the best we can for her, but I will tell her what you said, all the same.

[And he...awkwardly puts a hand on Enoch's shoulder, like he's actively trying not to seem really distant.]

*Michael can't know whether it was his fault or not. This Michael can't. But he takes the consolation anyway, because he needs it, leaning into the hand on his shoulder a bit.*

Your mundane is playing rather blind, isn't he? *A dry, forced chuckle.*

Hm, maybe. I wouldn't say completely blind, but this seems like one of those random whims anyway.

Mm. My mundane has those at times. She rarely acts on them anymore.

*Still looking quite distracted. Michael may or may not have seen humans do this when they're trying to avoid a subject.*

Impulse control seems to be a lost art these days.

[Well...maybe, but at least he's seen Enoch/Galiel do that, sooo.]

Honestly, I wasn't aware he was even alive until now. I'm...relieved. [He nods to himself.]

Very well. I think that he was led around by others he viewed as wiser than he and became involved in something he wouldn't have otherwise, had he fully known all the damage it would do.

[Yeah, he can't even get mad about Armaros having Nephilim because what was it going to do, swim around and eat plankton all day?]

However...hmmn. [Considering what Michael was on Earth for in the first place, denying that Armaros be forgiven would make him a huge hypocrite, wouldn't it?]

Has he repented?

*He trails off, wanting an answer more than he wants to explain himself.*
