Took you long enough to start talking to me again. Just wish it wasn't the idea of sending me somewhere that was the reason. As places go it doesn't seem to bad. It's not a bombed out wasteland so that's a step up from the places you usually send me. Downside, it's kind of normal. Okay yeah, you have a bunch of crazy superhumans running around, but the world's intact. People get up in the morning and go to work and go home to watch TV.

Do you really think I'm going to do well in a place like that? I haven't seen normal in almost fifteen years. It's just been one long non stop war and you know how much just a year of that can screw someone up when you send them back to the real world. Now multiply it. Yeah, I can adapt. I always do. It's still going to be a shock though. Makes me think of how it must have been for Kyle when he went back. To see all of it there again. Intact, alive.

Also let's not forget there's a crazy machine in charge of things. Sure, I believe what you're saying about everyone else that's tried to take her down. That's not going to change my mind. Someone has to do it.

Not such a bad thing in my opinion. Sometimes he even learns from his mistakes.

Or at least has the sense to make sure I have enough guns to deal with the ones where he doesn't.
