[ after everything she's gone through in Belli Castle, she just wants to take a load off her feet and maybe relax and never ever go near any spooky looking places ever again. ] I'm still recovering from the shock of it all. I mean, now that it's all over--although a small part of me doesn't believe that so I'm still really, really scared--there are a lot of decisions I need to make.

I... [ She takes a deep breath, closes her eyes, trying to not get upset ] ...need to tell my aunts and uncles that Mom is...not going to be around anymore. [ she sniffs. ] And...and I'll have to talk to someone about staying somewhere until I can take of myself alone financially. I'm probably not going to be able to stay with any of my uncles, because they either have pet allergies or don't like dogs, and I'm not going anywhere without Hewie by my side. Maybe one of my aunts...

[ Hewie brushes against Fiona's thigh, nuzzling her hand. Fiona nods her head, giving Hewie a grateful smile, before turning back to her audience. ]

Please? [ Hewie isn't barking an alarm, so far so good ] You were right there with me through every closet, drawer, room and hallway of the castle and mansion. You and Hewie both. [ Hewie barks in affirmation ] Right now, I just want to take a...break. Nothing exciting. Nothing exciting just yet. I promise, when I'm ready, I will tell you, but just....please, not right now.

[ Fiona's shoulders tense and she feels a familiar wariness towards Yaha. Hewie simply cocks his head to the side, inquisitive. ]

I believe this one is far more than capable to defend himself against all unfortunate creatures.

[ The hair on the back of Fiona's neck pricks up and she furrows her brows, annoyed that someone would judge her right off the bat. But really, she's in no mood for conflict. So she relaxes her shoulders and lets out a sigh. ]

What a good and loyal creature that you are... what is it that this one has done to captivate you so? I suppose I shall never guess, but I do applaud your bravery all the same, Hewie.

[ Hewie gives Yaha a look like ... 'well thanks for the compliment weird elf dude' ... then turns his head to Fiona and shifts his paws. If dogs could raise eyebrows, then this pooch would have them raised high. Fiona chuckles. ]

[ Fiona's eyes widen a fraction and a look of recoil appears on her face. She shudders and shakes her head. ] No. No. I'm anything but. [ Daniella's and Riccardo's voices whisper the word princess in Fiona's memories. ]

[ Yaha stares at her for a time, before deciding that he doesn't quite care about her fear upon his question. ] Of course. You're more like a village maiden, yes?

[ Fiona shakes her head. No. ] Just a regular person. Nothing special. [ ANd if anyone asks about the birthmark on her back, she'll claim that it's a tattoo. ]

That's insulting to Hewie. He thinks you're worth something to protect. Try to think of his feelings...

To Hewie, and to me, I'm worth more. [ she bends down and strokes the fur on Hewie's back. ] But otherwise, I'm not exactly exciting.
