mayfield_rpg Reserves
I don't know why you're excited about this. It isn't a good thing.
He'd more than likely try to offer his services to someone like Moriarty and even if-!
...Is that what you want? Gin and Moriarty working together?

Something's wrong with you.

Yes, well. When I said I wanted some canon-mates, I should have been more specific.

However, considering I don't have anything personal against Moriarty and you don't have anything personal against Gin it might prove useful for you to keep an eye on Gin and me to keep an eye on Moriarty. If they meet, Mayfield just might end up with a crime organization of its own.

I know the organization Gin's from well enough to know that they don't care who gets hurt if they're in the way of their goals-either unwittingly or on purpose. Gin won't be any different.
Besides, better to hope for the best but prepare for the worst, isn't it?

It is jumping to conclusions to assume those two will get along. It is jumping to conclusions to presume that you can track Moriarty better than I could. It is jumping to conclusions to presume you know Moriarty's Canon Point for this game.
It is a waste of time and energy to think about those things until we know anything for certain. All we know is that a "reserve" has been placed. We don't even know if he will be formally applied to the game or not.

[ But he'll take a deep breath anyways and rethink everything. There's no guarantee that Moriarty will show up, that much is right but there's only little comfort in that as Shinichi has never liked leaving things to chance. He likes knowing how to anticipate what his opponents moves are going to be and how to counter them. ]
[ Mayfield isn't that big so tracking someone isn't really much of an issue but unfortunately that's kind of a double-edged sword. He's also not comforted in the idea that Gin and Moriarty might not get along. That isn't how the organization works. They function on how useful a person is, not their person feelings towards other members. That was Irish's downfall. ]
[ Still.. if Sherlock doesn't want to go over it right now, then he'll drop it-but not before one last thing is brought up. ]
But, how about this- if Moriarty does show up at Mayfield I need you to promise that you won't treat me as anything more than a child around other people. I cannot risk the truth getting out to another person.

[Since Conan is determined to act like a child, Sherlock will treat him as such.]

[ Shinichi takes another deep breath and tries to calm down. Now would be a good time to find a soccer ball. Sherlock is right. Of course he's right, he's Sherlock Holmes and Shinichi is... well.. to be honest, he is a kid. But he has a reputation to live up too, he's Kudo Shinichi, the famous high school detective of the East and savior of the Japanese police force. ]
[ He wasn't living up to that expectation. And why? Because of a little shock and his impatience. That's something he really needs to work on.. his impatience. But until then- ]

I don't like children.
[Not quite true. Most children are more honest than any adult. Still...]

There's a group of kids back home that make me hang around them. Those three think everything's a treasure hunt.

So, you don't like yourself, then. Convenient.
