I know, the pack is essential to my kind, but would you want your family and friends in an underground cave with monsters running around? I don't think so.

I'll do what I can to get back to my pack. For now, I'll have to use what power I've got without them.

Caves aren't the only things there, you know.

[She doesn't much care for the "quest" thing; she's not very adventurous in the fantasy sense, so she's made sure there are other things to occupy her time.]

There's nothing of use to me there in the first place.

But why even bother going in the caves? You know the muns aren't going to let us just waltz out of there.

I wasn't planning on going there, I was just stating an example.

And sure, she may keep me there, but there's no harm in trying to get the hell out of there. Plus, it'll give me something to do besides those quests they have.

Those quests are bullshit. I don't care if they say "completing them will get you home." That's the biggest load of crap I've heard all day.

If we're going to be royally fucked, best we try to make the most of the city, yeah?

[AKA Alisha would never be able to survive dangerous quests, and has thus decided she's just going to to her best to make a living in the city.]

[To Derek, she didn't seem capable of taking care of herself, when it came to survival.]

But would you tell your friends and family about the monsters or would you just let them think they're insane?

I would tell them.

[In a heart beat. He wouldn't ignore the truth right there in front of them. BUT he looks at Lydia, furrowing his brow. What a strange question. Then again, he doesn't exactly know what's been going on in her head, besides Peter. They never really interacted in the first place until... that night of her birthday.]

Perhaps after all this, they'll explain everything to you.

Really? Is that how it works? Does everyone tell you everything?

[puppysitting]

[Derek purses his lips and... stays silent at that. He didn't even tell his pack everything. With that, they didn't really tell him anything in return. Well Scott didn't at least.]

Yeah, didn't think so. Would it kill you people to be open and honest once in a while?

Do you think you could have handled it? Or would you think that your friends were crazy if they told you about werewolves and other creatures running around?

[secretgenius]

[She crosses her arms across her chest.] I "handled" being possessed by a dead werewolf, made to run naked in the woods for two days, made to poison all my party guests and let's not forget, Mr. Big Bad Wolf, that I managed to take you down solo. So yeah, I think I could've "handled" someone telling me what the hell was going on.

I don't know why they didn't tell you then. They should have, but they chose not to.

[At least... she doesn't remember there being anything saying there were.]

Oh, and like the monsters can't just walk into the city...

Well. I suppose it's not your fault. {She tosses her hair back.] You know, I don't think we've been introduced. [She offers her hand.] I'm Lydia. Sorry about kidnapping you and, you know, using you to resurrect your dead wolf-buddy. It really did seem like a good idea at the time.

[Derek eyes her hand for a moment before looking up at her. Slowly, he lifts his hand and slowly gives hers a handshake.] Derek.

[A beat as he pulls his hand back. Even though at first he HATED the thought of his uncle being back, he has proven to be useful, Derek supposed.]

It was the only way to get him out of your head. [He can't really blame her for doing that.]

Very nice to meet you, Derek. Have you been a werewolf long?

Yeah. All my life.
