Sometimes I wonder if you are trying to get me killed. You should have known I wouldn't have been able to do much against that type of monster. It's not much fun to be nearly crushed by an evil bouncy ball. [There is a hint of his normal teasing in his voice there but it fades quickly.]

I can't afford to be injured or killed. I need to be strong in order to care for my brother. I can't expect Johnny to look after him should something happen to me. He has enough responsibilities.
