Going to Exitvoid

Whether on the ocean or under it, I do not care. The people need to hear the truth; one that most spend their lives running from. The truth that ushers in the death of the self and brings forth utopia. The loss of Eleanor, of Rapture and Adam is an inconvenience. To mourn their passing robs the present of our actions and the future of what it could be.

Where Ryan failed to build paradise, I will succeed. Is there a more fitting place for me to begin than a ship aloft on the waters from which this all began? I don't fear your warnings of nightmares. There is no nightmare more frightening than the prison of the selfish mind.

[Legion would be lying if it said it wasn't intrigued by her (more so than it normally is by humans.)]

You wish to construct a paradise for your people, but individual minds would have differing views of what that may be.

What is your truth?

[There's a quirk of the eye panel, as if mimicking the raise of an eyebrow.]

Even minds that are constructed as a collective will differ in their ideas on what constitutes the best path for their people.

[A lesson it had learned not too long ago.]

There will be schisms.

If one ideology is imposed on all minds, it is not a true union. It would be the same as constructing an autocracy.

If the individuals within your Utopia are free-thinking sapients, they will inevitably disagree on what path leads to the common good. Neither of these factions are 'wrong', their opinions are both valid paths to similar goals.

[It tilts it's eye slightly.]

Consensus cannot be achieved between them. How would the path be chosen?

We do not see how this society is possible. Not without severely limiting the thoughts of the individuals involved.

[Oh, no.]

What do you know about Rapture? [And what's with this talk of "building paradise"?]

[Oh god, what. The look that comes over his face is one of horror.]

How do you know about that? [What else could she possibly know?]

[ ...sounds Shakespeare to Jazzy ]

Aw, don't think that. Children are sweet, adorable little creatures.

[There's a slight pause.]

Utopias are never logical, as they are based on ideals that almost never occur. For example, assuming all sapients will agree to one ideology after being taught it's principles.
