[He walks over to the bar reaching for a second glass]

Well, the glass is empty and I didn't do it, so it's not the second.

[He smiles to him and fetches a second glass and the bottle of scotch]

So you admit it was my handsome face then? [He fills up both glasses and offers one to his new friend]

The names Tony Stark, if you didn't already know of course. And who might you be?

Well, there is a resemblance. Name doesn't ring a bell though.

[Like hell he's turning down free drinks. And do you have any idea how hard to find Scotch is once Earth's been destroyed? The answer is "extremely." Which is why this one's getting savored, instead of slammed down like cheap rotgut.]

Most people just call me Korso. Or Captain, but you got a long way to go before you start to look like any of my crew.

[He laughs to himself]

Cradling your drink I see? Well it is expensive. And there's a lot more [He wasn't trying to show off. What a lie of course he was]

I'm in somewhat of a 'crew' myself.

Where I'm from, the price doesn't matter. Just the fact you found it at all.

I'm gonna assume you're not talking about crewing some human colony drifting around the galaxy. Or any other sized ship, for that matter. You look like you've actually had a good night's sleep in the last ten years.

Human colony drifting through space? Sounds a blast.

[Move on to the medicinal stuff if you're meeting both of those halfway.]

More like floating slums about one bad hull breach away from complete destruction. But sure, if you're new to space travel, I guess I could see the appeal.

Carers? ya mean babysitters? They might be dealin' wit' the idiots that are supposed to be keeping tabs on me. [Because really military babysitters like ew! She's sitting up on a workbench toying with some round mechanical device.]

Floating slums? Although I suppose there plenty of space for that

I haven't quite mastered space travel. You know the whole breathing in space thing. I can't quite do that and neither can my suit quite yet.

Babysitting implies I am a child. Which unfortunately I am not.

And are you a run away or something?

[She laughed] Yeah no. Just a college student working on an internship with a military funded company.

They don't like that I'm the only one that can get their toy to work. [She held up the device she had been toying with a moment and it started hovering in the air at about her shoulder height.]

Oh a toy can I please play? [He doesn't wait for her answer simply tries to grab it]

You said military funded? So dangerous toys?

[The orb floats up and behind her.]

No, I refuse to mess with weapons. The machine, well not this one, but the one I was hired to make is purely defense. At least the prototype is. [She nods to the orb] That's, well let's just say personal safety device keyed in to a certain wavelength. They don't have the plans for it.

[There's no way she's giving the military any of her sonic devices because really, those could be really dangerous in their hands.]

Mister Stark, I'm afraid you have no idea just how big a can of worms you just invited to be emptied in your lap.

I'm sure you'll figure it out. That or some generation down the line.

It took us a while to really get it to a point where it was practical though. The early shuttles got the job done, but there was too much that could go wrong, and they weren't exactly built for long distances. FTL made everything a heck of a lot smoother, too.

Can of worms? I thought that more your deal. The whole metal thing you do.

But I'd prefer it they not on my lap? You know this suit was kinda expensive.

I will figure it out is the correct term to use. You know being a genius has it's perks.

But out of interest what problems did you encounter? Or were they just really low tech?

The main world here is, 'Military'.
They don't seem to you know.. Ever respect the works of the inventor. And if you don't give them what they want they try to take it.

Trust me, the amount of times they've tried to get my suit.

I know that's the problem though the only working prototype is too small for most the men they want to try it with, and well, without the under armor I wear under it, the suit won't work.

[Of course she did kinda forget to mention that on the blue prints. The safeties she installed into the programing prevent accidental activation at least.]

And until I can rework the power source it's not cost effective to build more. Which is probably the only reason that they haven't tried to steal it yet.
