After all, if it took you this long to take the quote-unquote "plunge", I'm very curious to see what else about me unnerves you. I would hope that, given your preference for me, you aren't setting unreachable standards for yourself. The self-doubt would be unbearable. Experience and observation have taught me that supremely paranoid people are easily the most fragile. What would break you first? The incessant, nagging worry that what you're doing doesn't come close to being adequate or, providing you last as long, our partnership?
