So, um, hey. These new icons. They're...really kind of cool. I mean, I-I think some of them maybe shouldn't get added, but some could really, you know, round me out. I mean, the old ones are good, but...more are also good. Yay.

It's like suddenly having a date, a-and opening your closet and finding a lot of awesome clothes that you'd forgotten you had! Oh, and dates. Speaking of dates. I really have a date! And, and it's with someone nice! I...I'm really excited. I mean, okay, maybe it will be weird, but...maybe it won't. Maybe we'll have fun, and...well, um, maybe she'll like me. [Maybe there will be smoochies.]

Okay, I'm still being periodically drugged against my will, but...it's not like it's as bad as it was before, and you'll work that out. Before I die again. Right? Pretty please?

You remind me of a friend of mine. He was pretty excitable too, not so much about clothes though. We've been having a rowdy time together now that I've busted him out of that Scarran prison. Those Scarrans are a pretty nasty bunch of lizard brains. They are pretty big on druggin' people too...

Y-Yeah, well. [...Tara gives an apologetic shrug. Maybe she should have left that bit out.] It's, um, it's just morning glories. I-I probably wouldn't even notice, except for the hallucinating. [And that's why she mentioned it - she really doesn't want to hallucinate Willow while on her date. She doesn't want things to be bad like they were again. Even if April is probably a rebound anyway.

Besides, the morning glories are retaliation, retaliation Tara is firmly convinced she deserves.]

It's, it's not going to kill me, or anything. [Except by environmental hazard.] I was just, um, hoping that they'd let up, for the date.

Hallucinations? That's disturbing. [Anya is actually mildly concerned for once.]

Maybe you should just ask them to not give them to you. Say no to peer pressure!

Well, I...I-I don't think I technically know yet, that they are? It's, um, weird. I think I only know because I'm here.

But, um, once I do, I-I'll be sure and ask them. Maybe they will. [Or maybe they'll continue to torment Tara mercilessly. But she says this in a tone of voice that's meant to be reassuring.]

Good. And if they don't, you can just do some magic on them. And then go on your date. Problem solved!

[There's a barely suppressed wince, at this. Magic for Tara is a very touchy subject, at the moment. And, well, using it on Kohaku...really wouldn't be right. Or, even less right.]

I, I-I couldn't really do anything to her, Anya. Not like that.

No. Well...she didn't. The, the people who run this tower, they can be...th-that's, um, that's not the issue. [At the moment.] But I, I-I only just got control of my powers again, and using them to hurt someone would, um, kind of mess that up!

You don't need to hurt them! Just punish them, and send them far away.

...h-how do you propose I "punish them" w-without hurting them? Doesn't one, um, kind of lead to the other?

Well, back in my vengeance demon days, I once cursed a man so that every meal he ate tasted like various types of feces. He nearly died of starvation, but it was very harmless until that point.

I-If we could do that, none of us w-would even still be here. And, um, w-we aren't even sure how many alternate universes are s-still there.
