I cannot fathom the reason why you would go to such needless trouble. Had I desired to be returned Endor then I would've done so on my own accord, and not with the help of a...mortal. If you're wishing to hear gratitude for saving me from the cold abyss of Mandos, then you are sadly mistaken.

[ Alucard speaks, and as monotone as his voice may appear and as stoic as his pale expression might look at a glance, there is a definite warmth in those preternaturally golden eyes and perhaps the slightest hint of sympathy in them too. ]

Why would one, who at a mere glance so resembles nobility, consider themselves fodder for an afterlife of suffering. Why, I would doubt you would warrant such an end, Hell is was not created for creatures like yourself.

More rather there are seats reserved for me and my cursed kind.

[ Such honeyed words caught the Elf honestly off-guard. He didn't know what to think of this person, a person who felt as black as night but appeared as pale as the moon. It was odd to say the least, very odd to hear such kind words said to him. ]

Have you not heard of the Halls of Mandos? Men nor Elves can escape the black abyss that awaits on the other side. Being particularly fond of my blade more so than others, I was merely destined for such a fate.

[ He smiles, subtle as it is, the expression shifting his porcelain features. The dhampir speaks once more, his tone a dark lullaby. ]

All can repent of their sins, that is that nature of the world. The fact alone that you feel pity for your foes shows that you are no longer at ill-ease with them.

Or at least, this is what I tend to think.

[ To him, dying on the battlefield was a great honor. More so than sailing away to foreign shores for the rest of eternity. ]

A warrior's blade is meant to be used, thus the sins committed were meant to be. I'll gladly give my life again if needed, although I'm not fond of dying a second death.

I think highly of the living for it is common to envy those that have what one could never achieve.

Are you apprehensive to live again in fear of dying once more?

[ Despite how low the whisper was Haldir heard it as clear as day. He chose not comment on it, deciding to steer away from his own intrigue. ]

Nay. More like fearful of living a pointless existence.

How could your existence possibly be pointless?

[ He's not trying to be clever, Alucard simply can't fathom how anyone's life could be pointless ]

[ He frowns somewhat at the question. It seems that he's caught the attention of a very inquisitive man. ]

If one such as I cannot live by the sword once more, then my life will be a pointless one. I know not of what she has in store for me but I certainly hope not to live a boring and placid existence.

I'm not eager for warfare but I'm not eager for idleness.

I find it difficult to believe that someone like yourself could live a pointless existence. Are you so concerned with a warrior's life that you would forfeit any other?

What other life is there to live, I ask? What do you purpose?

I ought not to suggest what you could do with your life, but a life of battle is a hard one, and if you have served a duty in one lifetime would you not prefer a simpler life of ease and contentment?

But, forgive me, I offer my thoughts when perhaps I am not experienced enough to do so.

Fear not for you haven't offended me by voicing your thoughts. Sometimes the opinion of another is necessary.

[ A life of ease and contentment? That certainly sounds somewhat appealing but will get a chance to live such a life? Time will only tell. ]

That sounds quite...alluring. Although, I doubt I could remain so docile for long.

[ Alucard finds himself chuckling at that last comment, it is a soft sort of noise, very easy on the ears ]

Hm, I suppose you would have to think of some sort of hobby to satisfy your need for action.

That I most certainly will. However, I do know of one hobby I wish to partake within but only after I chosen a suitable lover.

[ Judging by the tinge of playfulness in his tone, Alucard can probably guess what he's talking about. ]

[ Had Alucard a wit of sense about him he might have even picked up on that innuendo but, being the innocent naive dhampir he was, it went straight over his head and his response, light-hearted and pleasant as it was, was probably twice as inappropriate due to his lack of understanding. ]

Ah, quite! I believe that sharing in one's favourite activity with a loved one can be twice as pleasurable in contrast to doing it by oneself.

[ Alucard's naivety was quite refreshing but it somewhat startled the elf since most people would've caught that innuendo. However, for his sake it's probably best that Alucard didn't catch the meaning. ]

True enough, I suppose.

[ He seems wistful now, eyes a little glazed, how he wonders what it would be like to share anything with a lover. ]

I am quite sure you could find someone to share your next life with.

[ A small smile settled on his lips as he watched Alucard. It seems his newly made friend is lost in thought. ]

If only the Valar will bless me with such a chance for true love.

Forgive my ignorance, but I know not what the "Valar" are, but I believe you -like so many- are quite capable of finding true love.

I only speak what I believe to be true, I have (on many occasions) misjudged people but I suppose I would rather see the good in others than the bad.
