It's Japanese for cute, if I'm not mistaken.

[The island joke makes him laugh.]

They are though, just with a different word.

'Kawaii' means in English 'cute, adorable'.

[Say hello to the giant, Japanese robot. Or maybe you only see him through the screen of a device?]

It's what the robot and the Santa said.

The reason that they use the Japanese word is so that they can feel like you're "just like in one of their Japanese animes!".

Whatever that means.

It depends on whom you mean. I think most of the 'guys' you mean are Transformers or 'Cybertronians', at least I've seen many around here that call themselves that.

I don't belong to them, however, as I'm from Earth. Or rather from my respective Earth, built by humans and my mind is very human-like. There are others who are like me but so far, I'm the only one of my group present. [A short shadow passes over his face at that, along a note of sadness in his voice. Then it's gone again.]

It's staggering for me, too, to see so many sentient robots although they are from a different planet.
