Dear Mun,

We've been through this before. Several times. You cannot use me to enable Sherlock Holmes. As honored as I would be I don't think it's likely.

In the meantime; you have some observations to write up, some polishing to do on my journal notes, and some more investigations for me to work on.

You have the whole weekend off. You have no excuses.

What makes you think you are incapable of "enabling" me?

[There may or may not be other reasons Sherlock might have issues with joining that com, for instance either be a child or get a wife - are either of these good for him?]
highfunctioning_sociopath: The Great Game (smile)

I haven't seen that icon before CUTE! XD

[personal profile] highfunctioning_sociopath 2012-06-23 03:04 am (UTC)(link)
[Sherlock smirks. This is a new experience. He wonders if this is what John was talking about for why he needed to find 'a little case.']

Well, no one is. The question is: If you are smart enough to recognize this, why don't you see yourself as good enough for me to speak with you.
highfunctioning_sociopath: The Reichenbach Fall (violin close)

And you are sort of enabling me... more below

[personal profile] highfunctioning_sociopath 2012-06-23 03:18 am (UTC)(link)
Well, most people are. But then... you're not most people.

[He's on to Conan. In THIS place, he has all kinds of knowledge about him. He's met other - hims.]

{{OOC: I've looked at Mayfield off and on for about 2 years. But always get scared off by it's size and complexity. But, I'm looking again because WOW! no prose! I can't do prose with Sherlock, I've tried and it doesn't really work for me. And I'd like to find an active game for him.}}
highfunctioning_sociopath: Blind Banker (grins)

Re: :D

[personal profile] highfunctioning_sociopath 2012-06-23 03:37 am (UTC)(link)
[Sherlock grins at that.]

Smart lad. So tell me, [Because the other Conans have refused.] How old are you really? You're not as young as you look. But you're not as old as me.

[Sherlock won't admit it, but depending on Conan's age, he has the ability to surpass him. He wants to know everything he can about his up-coming competition.]

{{OOC: Oh good, having a guide would help a lot. And well, if Conan is Holmes' kid, Holmes would expect it to be shared. Okay, not really, but he would break into Conan's room and confiscate them.

AND DAMN! Holmes could be a pharmacist: because a recovering drug-addict who knows a lot about chemistry, working around potent drugs? Yeah, that's a good mix. XD

But, it looks like there is a dad in that house?}}

[Sherlock chuckles softly.]

I see. I once lost my sense of taste for two months when an experiment blew up in my face.

[Quite literally, according to that Meme, anyway.]

But seventeen.

[Sherlock definitely has competition.]

How old were you when you started your experiments?

{{OOC: So I would have to contact "Mother". Still, only contacting one person might be nice. And 1950s so it doesn't matter that Sherlock's Asexual - couples never slept in the same bed anyway XD

I might be properly enabled, but I'd like to sleep on it. I normally don't go for games like this, but since he has his memories, he's still very much Sherlock, so I think it would be okay. I just need to mull it over a bit more to make sure it's not the boredom talking :P}}

[personal profile] highfunctioning_sociopath 2012-06-23 04:03 am (UTC)(link)
[Sherlock's features and tone are impassive. But inside, he's seething.]

They tried to kill you. [There's a slight pause.] Who were they?

[Because Sherlock might have a mind to go after them.]

{{OOC: YAY! And thank you. Really, all these times of passing it over, but this made me really look at it carefully.}}
highfunctioning_sociopath: The Great Game (thinking)

[personal profile] highfunctioning_sociopath 2012-06-23 04:21 am (UTC)(link)
[Sherlock sometimes doesn't answer what is said, but what is said through body language.]

You're ashamed. They tried to kill you. Why do you feel ashamed?

[That would be one feeling things that Sherlock will never understand. But he does understand the anger that is building. Because, though seventeen isn't so much a kid anymore, it's still too young to face something like that. And the shame that Conan is expressing only makes Sherlock angrier.

People get him wrong. It's not that he doesn't care. It's that he cares too much and so he often locks it away, because he understands how distracting it is to let emotions have control. But in this place, he can be a bit freer.]

{{OOC: Oh they totally would. My Sherlock has pretty much adored all the Conans he's played with. Which is funny, because I still don't know any of Conan's canon.}}
highfunctioning_sociopath: (molly needs)

[personal profile] highfunctioning_sociopath 2012-06-23 05:20 am (UTC)(link)
[Sherlock listens closely to the story. When Conan is finished, he squats so that he is level with Conan. He does this because what he has to say is very important. And well, this is as close as he can get to treating Conan like a equal.]

Don't blame yourself. Everyone makes mistakes.

[Sherlock pauses. Sherlock never admits to mistakes or errors, but maybe it will help Conan to know what happened is not his fault.]

There was a case I was working a couple years ago. I ended up in what I thought was an empty flat. The window was open, there were clues that a killer had been there maybe only minutes before me. Only... I was stupid. The window was open, which meant he was still there. I was lucky, he only strangled me enough to leave me with a warning...

[He pauses and meets Conan's eyes. He could say more, but if Conan understands, he won't waste his breath.]

{{OOC: I don't know that I have THAT much time XD but I have been picking up a few things along the way. If there's more I must know, I'm happy to do the research}}

highfunctioning_sociopath: The Reichenbach Fall (stands daytime)

[personal profile] highfunctioning_sociopath 2012-06-23 05:51 am (UTC)(link)
[At that, Sherlock shrugs and stands. What can he say to that?]

Oh, I did have to live with the consequences. It's just mine were different and less... permanent. But if a chemical made you this way, there must be a chemical out there to reverse it.

[Though, if a lot of time has passed, that's probably futile.]

[personal profile] highfunctioning_sociopath 2012-06-23 01:25 pm (UTC)(link)
Twenty-four hours. It's a good start. No harmful side-effects?

[Perhaps Sherlock can find a way to make it more potent without making it deadly.]

{{OOC: I shall keep that in mind. I'm working on contacting "Mother" and the app.}}
highfunctioning_sociopath: Blind Banker (grins)

[personal profile] highfunctioning_sociopath 2012-06-23 03:58 pm (UTC)(link)
[There's a wry grin.]

And yet you still do it. I can't say that I blame you.

[He doesn't know what he'd do if his current knowledge was forced into the body of a seven year old.]

I... more meant long-lasting affects. The strain on your heart, does it get worse each time?

{{OOC: YAY! And luckily I have a generic app set up, so just adjusted a few things. And PMed her, so will wait to hear XD}}
highfunctioning_sociopath: (couch)

XD Yes they do!

[personal profile] highfunctioning_sociopath 2012-06-23 04:16 pm (UTC)(link)
[Sherlock looks thoughtful.]

Well, at least there's that hope. You might find a solution one day.

[And Sherlock might be interested in helping. At least from a scientific standpoint.]

[personal profile] highfunctioning_sociopath 2012-06-23 04:24 pm (UTC)(link)
Possibly, or it could mean that something in the poison somehow changed your genetic make up.

[There are millions of possibilities, and without research, Sherlock was just making educated guesses.]
