On picking him up just for an event...and having not read his canon for a long time

Why would you want to read all those books again? They're bloody long and all you want is to get a better, bloody sense of my character. There's not much to me, you know. I'm just a farm boy who's in control of a bloody big army. I have dead men's memories in my head, I speak a weird language and I'm always rescuing bloody women. That's all you need to know, wouldn't you say?
