It's a trick. It has to be. This can't have happened. Not to me! I want it back. I need it back! Give, it, back! Give me back my bending!

Without it, I'm just... just some non-bender. I have... no power. No control! You can't leave me like this. You just can't.  Without my bloodbending... how can I even force this mun to keep tagging with me? This place is the only world now in which I can thrive! I need it. I need my control back.

I'm not surprised a filthy Water Tribe peasant like you lacks the pride necessary to deal with the situation and move on.

Peasant? I am so much more than that! I had Republic City in the palm of my hand. I had a power beyond all that of other bending. Bending that grants total control over a person, a feeling you can't even imagine. I'll have my pride when I have it back!

The way you talk doesn't sound like someone who had a city in the palm of their hand. You sound weak; like someone who worked hard for their power instead of being born with the divine right to rule. If you'd ever had any true power over this Republic City of yours, you'd find a way to exert your will over it.

Why don't you try to take on Amon now and feel it for yourself?

Don't you dare say that. I ran the city perfectly for years before being caught. I beat the Avatar and bent her to my will! There's no such thing as a divine right. I was born with a special power. That's what I need! How can I... come back now?

I'd find a way.

Like how because we're curious to know, sir.

Bending is merely a tool to get what you want in life. There are other tools in the world at your disposal: use them. I, too, once held a great deal of power—but the difference between the two of us is that I haven't entirely lost my grip on the things that belong to me. I can still exert my will, even if it's indirectly. With your "special power" gone, you've already given up. You can't exert your will on anything. Pathetic.

[A pause.]

You don't have the right to talk to me like this! You were humiliated by the Avatar, yourself. This... this just happened to me. I just need time. To recuperate, to deal with this, to plan. If I really can't have my bending... I know how to talk, how to sway others. I can find a way. A new life.

[jerkblood]

You don't know! You don't know the limits of my bending! There's no one out there... anywhere... I couldn't control, when I tried!

[He tries not to sob.]

True. But did you use your 'bending' to its full limit?

[She doesn't agree with how Amon operates but in this situation she feels he did the right thing - after what she saw of his father Korra knows that Tarrlok couldn't have been stopped any other way.]

You could have learned from your father's mistakes but instead you chose to make the same mistakes. You have no one to blame for your current situation but yourself. Take the lesson and learn from it. Your bending might be gone but maybe redemption isn't beyond you yet.
