Beryl's wishes, dear Zoicite. She never stops yelling into my ear. [He sighed. Smiling as he saw his friend.]

I am surprised to see you. I fear that you are busy elsewhere doing other things.

Hmph. Big words for a young girl. Aren't you powerless with just one in number? I thought you all fought as a pack. [Brat pack.]

[His brows draw closer together.]

You were not always so quick to jump at Beryl's commands. [Not in his world, anyway; and Zoisite's utter lack of respect in referring to the would-be queen might be noted.]

Together? [Was he referring to him and another Zoicite?]

We must make whatever life throws at us. Good or bad, something must come of it. [He wanted to touch the other man's cheek but stopped himself.]

[Zoisite turns slightly away.]

That is correct. However, you remain the shitennou's leader. [And thus, the man who should be his comrade and brother-in-arms... and not under the thumb of Beryl.]

You act like you have a choice to stop us. Hah! Plans are already in motion to wipe you all out and the Dark Kingdom will be your new home. [He gave a throaty chuckle.]

[She needs to know more about these plans.]

[He looked at Zoisite and frowned. Did he want Kunzite to be free of Beryl? It seemed that way. But why? Did he despise Beryl? That, he could understand.]

Zoisite...[He couldn't help it. He slowly placed a hand on the other man's shoulder.]

I won't tell you the plans I have for you all. That would ruin the surprise, wouldn't it? [He gave her an icy glare.]

[Zoisite, who takes the touch as simple comraderie, pauses and does not shrug it off. If Kunzite is making efforts to heal the rift between them, he will certainly not object to that.]

To live my life out in peace, away from Beryl and her insane ideas. To live a life of training of my powers and martial arts. Hone my fighting skills and live with....Zoicite. [He opened his eyes and looked at the man in front of him.]
