of restraint issues and space boats
Hey you. Behind the computer. Get your head out of the video games and listen to me for a minute.
We've had this conversation before. I know we have. Maybe not for a while, but it feels a little bit like I'm banging my head against a wall here.
So I tell you it's a bad idea. That I don't do well in prisons, and it's not like you don't know; you just started reviewing a few nights ago. You heard me. I've done enough time in some pretty crappy places, I know what I'm talking about when I say I don't do well. I don't know if you think it's amusing or what, but personally? Spending time in a metal box in space that you're pretty confident I can't get out of?
Dude. That's just a cruel, cruel challenge.
You'd better be prepared for this, 'cause you're a nice enough girl but you're completely on your own here.
...I seriously think this is worse than that time in that alternates game you gave me a teenage daughter. And that was pretty underhanded.

...Although a prison with a resurrection clause would be new. Interesting incentive for playing nice.

My Warden is a Time Lord. I talk to people who travel through outer space. Some of my friends are superheroes. The people...are amazing. They will change your mind about people in general, and about what is possible.

[He'll just let that sink in for a minute. He doesn't appreciate your amusement, Chance, and don't try to pretend you're not. He sees that.]
no subject
*he's amused because he sees you already - taking charge of the black market on the Barge... or setting one up if nobody has. Quietly making sure some key Wardens depend on you for things they value only slightly less than what the Admiral or whoever it is has promised them. Making life a small decadent familiar piece of home, all while people are trying to make sure the riots you start don't take too many casualties...*

[He might as well enjoy himself, right? And make a little something on the side.
...Yeah, okay. This might not be such a terrible situation, but he's not giving Chance the satisfaction.]
no subject
*yeaaah, sorry, Guerrero. Chance kind of knows you a little bit better than most*
no subject
[Eh. So long as you don't point it out he'll let it slide.]
...And don't be getting any bright ideas.

*There's only so much poking that Chance will apply at the crazy funball at any given time. When distraction isn't necessary. Or they aren't sparring.*
Sadly, if she was going to send anyone there, another former...ish assassin would be on his way for the next round. She's a bit ... I think her descriptive is 'swamped.'
no subject
[...touching, Guerrero. Really. How do you have friends, exactly?]
So. "Formerish"? Well that sounds...intriguing. Which side of the fence?
no subject
*yeah, it's all right. Chance gets what Guerrero means, and that's enough.*
Mmm. Complicated. Heard of Winter Soldier?
no subject
[Considering what he COULD have said? Yeah.]
Sure. Soviet science project, replaced Steve Rogers as Captain America at one point.
no subject
*it's not like he hasn't heard it, Guerrero. You don't have to filter with Chance, good side or not*
That side of the fence, as in, him in particular. But she's not going to.
no subject
[Doesn't have to, doesn't mean he won't anyway. Sadly it's habit. The less you know, etc etc.]
Got it. [A shrug.] It happens.

It's alright. I've got a few ideas in the works. I'll figure something out.
[Guerrero is Plotting. The wardens should worry.]

...by the way, Tony Stark is also there.
no subject
Oh yeah? She neglected to mention that.
[I wonder why...]

Try staying geeky and entertaining. You'll fare better.

I'm not really the type to be somebody's monkey. Left my cymbals at home.
