What exactly is Muggle?

Just a word for someone without magic.

Magic's just in stories where I'm from, but nothing in this place is like home.

Stories are usually based on truth. Just because you think it's lost from your world doesn't mean it is.

The closest thing to the stories being true is the Others. But they've been gone for 8000 years.

Are you certain? Perhaps they're just hidden away from prying eyes.

The Others were defeated by the Night's Watch. We'd know if they still existed.

Do the Night's Watch still watch?

Yes. There are wildlings, giants, and other things beyond the Wall.

You don't think they might still be watching for these Others?

[They're waiting for winter which, in turn, means the Others.]

That's just stories. Besides, it's been 8000 years. They would have come back by now if they were ever going to.

Eight thousand years is a long time for stories to twist and change. No one can be certain what happened, they might still be there.

But they might not.

Well, no one should want them to exist.

There are rather a lot of things that I don't want to exist, yet there they are.
