what am I even doing.
So... this is a bandwagon thing, isn't it? I'm pretty sure that's where you're coming from. Hey, wanna give me an estimate on the miles per gallon of that thing?
Yeah, Mun, listen. You're a fun girl and all. I mean, you know your booze and you like to party. I'm down with that. But you barely even know how to use your Android. Well, okay, that's an exaggeration, yeah, but still. I think we could be friends, and I have no problem being in your head for that, but there's no way we can work together on this actual RP thing.
I mean, you failed math.
Okay! Okay, so that's an exaggeration, too. But there's still no way you could keep up with me. You've never taken anything more complicated than trig, and that was what... eleven years ago? You've no knowledge of engineering or business or science.
Booze, Mun. That's all we have to build a relationship on. That cannot go anywhere good.

[TAKES A BREATH]
Hah... She's so nostalgic.... She likes you, she says; but she hasn't seen your flick in years.

A fan in any world, that is.]
She likes me? That's quite a first. My mun likes you, too. Says there's something about two folks called Merchants of Death meeting that's just too good to resist.
[Here, he sticks out his hand.]
Nick Naylor, Vice President of the Academy of Tobacco Studies.

Pointing out their failings seems only to inspire them.

...That's true. My mun is a librarian, so finding information has never been a problem. She just tends to feel inadequate when she takes on tasks which are outside her realm of knowledge.

My mundane informs me that a Midgardian named 'Whedon' likely knows little of advanced robots, physicals, weapons technology, and it did not 'stop him'.
What this has to do with the price of ale in Nidavellir, I know not, but she seems to believe it a reason for yours to take heart.

You know, she's fond of me enough that I think she might stick it out. [Examines his fingernails like it's not that big of a deal that a girl is fond of him. Because it's not.]
Also, she says it's funny that you should tag me. I mean, not you, the viking man in general. But you, specifically. Because she plays at the game where your mun just put you and is thinking about sending me there, if her and my little relationship works out.

That realm does await me, but you should not hope to go there. It seems a dangerous place for mortals. My mundane feels differently, but they...
They do that.

Tony Stark. I can't say I've ever heard of you, but it's great that they've pegged you with that nickname, as well. [So amused.]
My mun smoked for years, and quit about six months ago... which is why she likes you, I think. Even though she doesn't smoke any more, she says that people should be free to do as they please.

[ Yeah, yeah. ]

Her other guy didn't fear it either at first, and he was all up on his spooks and chain-rattling ghoul things. He's too much of a sensitive, though. Too much magic. [Whereas Tony is all science. So basically he doesn't fear that place either, but if he ends up there, he'll be in for a rude awakening.]

We shall see. If you are fated for this place, then perhaps we shall be comrades against the dangers that dwell there.

Perhaps we shall! My mun says she reserved me, and that when she "apps" me, she'll be taking me from the "post-Avengers" timeline. Presently, even she does not know what that entails, since she won't be seeing that movie until Sunday.
no subject
[ But you're fine, Tony. B) ]

I believe that she won't start on my application until she sees this new film, on Sunday with her friends.

I'm generally hated by the majority, save 55,000,000 American smokers and your poorly treated tobacco farmer, so it's nice to hear of a recent non-smoker who doesn't want to [he makes the Psycho string noises with accompanying slashing hand gesture] and rather appreciates the presentations of my arguments.

There's a reason we've been talkin' about putting together a 'Keep Tony Drunk' fund.

Well... provided that my mun figures out what she's doing, and can sort out how to handle my suits. Trying to explain the mechanics of this to her is like trying to explain the Internet to Cap. She's studying diligently, though; I'll give her that.

My mundane has no doubt that yours will succeed in her endeavours. I believe it urges her to have me... 'intro'd' any time soon.

I think mine'll do fine with as much as she's been reading. Now I just need to get her in gear to actually apply. [Eyebrow raise.] Yeah, what is yours waiting for, when you've got awesome company like your charming brother and that big blue guy waiting for you?

But yeah... no. Don't even think about it.

[ Lifts his stare and snickers quietly. ] But I already have.
