(no subject)

I know what you're thinking. In fact, I've seen it coming, for quite a bit longer than you've been voicing your interest. You're more predictable than you think you are.

Which is, my dear mortal, why we're here right now. Because, in addition to seeing this coming, I'm rather aware of how flighty your loyalties can be when they're put in direct competition with each other. So, a word of advice, if I may.

Stick to something simple. Small steps, one thing at a time. Quit trying to jump into a situation with every possible idea at once. Plans take time, plots need time to gestate.

That said, a simple decision on your first move would also be a welcome gesture. Honestly, don't make me compete with the rest of the voices in here. They'll lose, and I'm not entirely sure you're equipped to give that up.

Wise advice, as always.

Some consider the definition of insanity to be trying the same action over and over while expecting different results.

Greetings Athena.

I must say I do feel a bit better seeing that I wasn't the only one given an updated form by my mundane.
cassie_of_troy: (Disgusted)

My, my, my. So many of you gods showing up around here. That doesn't bode well at all.

Any of us, really.

Nor any of you. Really, doom is the only option.
cassie_of_troy: (Amused)

Wisdom and prophecy are not the same thing, my lady.
cassie_of_troy: (Annoyed)

[personal profile] cassie_of_troy 2012-04-02 05:22 pm (UTC)(link)
And we'd all be eternally grateful.

Called it.

Perhaps, with Tyche's blessing, we should find more fortune or at least less misfortune wherever the dice fall. Regardless, I have no doubt that the wise Athena will know the best course of action to take.

Gods requesting miracles? What has this world come to? I pity those who get in your way, Athena Promachos.
cassie_of_troy: (Angry)

[personal profile] cassie_of_troy 2012-04-02 05:32 pm (UTC)(link)
You think too highly of yourself, my lady. We would have been fine without your vanity, over a simple apple.
cassie_of_troy: (Wary)

[personal profile] cassie_of_troy 2012-04-02 05:40 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm not afraid of you. I no longer belong to you or your kind.

And as for Paris, he got what he deserved. I don't see why the rest of us had to suffer.
cassie_of_troy: (Proud)

[personal profile] cassie_of_troy 2012-04-02 05:49 pm (UTC)(link)
Are you referring to Zeus' bargain with Gaia? Or the flaw of the heroic code?

I am not blind.
god_not_goth: (Huh)

[personal profile] god_not_goth 2012-04-02 06:24 pm (UTC)(link)
Really? I thought it was too modern but I suppose I could of gotten worse.

Such as the body of that flaming idiotic version of myself from another world.

Mortals can only think in the short term. We only are in the short term.

Your words are as kind as your spear is swift and your shield is steady, Athena Atrytone. My failing is in my own fault, when I was too small to do anything without help and received none, it makes attempting anything a difficult task when you come to expect failure, even when you are capable of doing things for yourself finally.
badassnormal: (lulz guys)

As the Catholics are fond of saying, "God helps those who help themselves." Wonder who they stole that one from, hm?
god_not_goth: (I can hear him)

[personal profile] god_not_goth 2012-04-02 07:56 pm (UTC)(link)
More that they wanted to make it palatable to this modern audience. How would of parents reacted when Zeus descended on a human woman to make Hercules? Or how Hera wanted to kill him?

Really I would of much preferred having some of the details from that film as opposed to the reality.

...I think you are entirely correct, my Lady.

Are you implying that I have horrible taste?

[Let's ignore the fact that he kind of does]

bibo_ergo_sum: (and this the unlucky one knows)

[personal profile] bibo_ergo_sum 2012-04-05 08:33 am (UTC)(link)
I would be hurt, but it's a very reasonable sentiment. I wouldn't want to understand me either.

You seem to be in quite the tight spot with your mortal. Is it going well for you?

Not all of them were...less than ideal. Hyacinthus was perfectly fine, for example.
