Glad to hear Garrus made it out of the fire relatively unscathed... the last thing he needs is another scar adorning his face. Not sure what he'll do now - not much need for a Reaper Advisor when there are no more Reapers.

If you don't mind me giving a suggestion, Garrus would excel no matter where you put him. He's been with me since the beginning, and he's the second best shot in the galaxy. I trust him with my life.

You speak just as highly of him as he does of you - I've seen the pair of you together. You were a force to be reckoned with. I would be honored to share a drink with the both of you.

[Victus lost his son, and Shepard is still haunted by all the comrades he lost. It might be why he's been at the bar on the Thor a little more than usual.]

[He glances away. He would have to be careful with just how many drinks he loses himself to.]

It feels like I'm getting too much of the praise when I couldn't have done it without those that sacrificed themselves.

[He feels slightly guilty, which just adds to his melancholy, especially talking to someone like Victus who lost a direct family member.]

Becoming a Primarch... well, it has taught me just how heavy the weight can become. I can only imagine the burden upon your own. I believe I should be buying you that drink.

Maybe not the ship, but the people do. I'm an FNG myself, but I've already heard rumors of a group that doesn't exactly enjoy having us around.

If it comes to all-out-war? We'll need someone who knows how to get the job done. Someone like a turian general that knows what it takes.

[What was originally a jovial, almost upbeat (gasp!) greeting quickly turns somber. This Garrus has only seen what's happened to the humans and, sad and disturbing as it was, it won't never match up to seeing his own people massacred. The look on Victus' face? Makes him dread coming up to that point even more than he already does.]

Only if you feel that I did a good enough job to earn that title, sir.

[He listens. Then shifts his weight, hands clasped behind his back.]
