just saw the hunger games movie... possibly looking (:

I don't know, mun-- if that's the only problem you have with the movie compared to the book, is it really that bad? Even if we both know what's coming next, it's got to give you a little hope for... well, you know.

[ a small, slightly empty laugh ] No? I guess it's just me, then.

I don't get people who get all bent out of shape about that kind of thing. If they add a bunch of car chases that weren't there before who cares! Makes for quality entertainment.

They leave out a knife fight? That would lose at least half a star if I was rating it.

Hunger games? If there's knife fighting I'm guessing it's not nice or about eating food.

I haven't seen the movie yet, but...

There were a few changes that caught mine off guard...

But which is the one yours had the problem with?

[It's that empty laugh that worries her. Because she remembers what happens next. The Quarter Quell, the uprisings. How could she ever forget?

And she wants to hold him, give him a tight hug and not let go. He gets a crooked grin instead.]

Maybe if she has a problem, you'll get lucky. She'll forget about sending you to any games.

You're better off not being sent anywhere, Peeta.
calledcatnip: (I am waiting and well prepared)

fff that username just makes me laugh

[personal profile] calledcatnip 2012-03-31 08:53 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, it's too late. My writer already has a place in mind.

[She doesn't want anyone she knows joining her there, although her writer has different ideas.]
calledcatnip: (When it burns)

haha, but mine's not any better. I wasn't feeling very creative when I made it

[personal profile] calledcatnip 2012-03-31 09:25 pm (UTC)(link)
It's some place called Wonderland, and from what I've heard, it doesn't sound very nice.

[In her opinion, it reminds her of the Hunger Games. It may not be an orchestration of the Capitol, but as far as she's concerned, it might as well be.]
calledcatnip: (Spirits above and behind me)

well thank you! :D Also if you're interested, the game in question is Entranceway

[personal profile] calledcatnip 2012-03-31 10:08 pm (UTC)(link)
I know, but it's not. People die there just like they do in the games, and once you're there, there's no going home.

[She gives him a look. Calling these games a vacation is just wrong.]

[And she frowns. Because hearing that does little to reassure her. Why is it always so hard to keep Peeta Mellark safe?]

You can't let her, Peeta.
calledcatnip: (Everyone watch me)

\o\

[personal profile] calledcatnip 2012-04-01 04:14 am (UTC)(link)
Peeta, why would you do that?

[The games are over, and it's not like the Capitol is controlling these other games.]

We don't have to present ourselves as a team. It's better if you don't go there.
calledcatnip: (Born for this)

[personal profile] calledcatnip 2012-04-01 04:34 am (UTC)(link)
[She's still of the mindset that the only reason they have anything to do with each other at all is because it's what the Capitol wants.

Though, a tiny bit of her wonders if there's another reason besides presentation that explains why Peeta would be willing to go with her.]

What about your family? They need you too.
