Mun, unless you actually rise up, download those games themselves, find out the technicalities of translating them and either get a translator or learn to read Japanese, I don't honestly think there's a chance in hell of any of those Japanese RPG Maker horror games being noticed or played by Americans. I mean, Yume Nikki worked because it had no dialogue, and my game was a fluke inspired by a combination of the Hetalia fandom making a parody of it and the fact the game maker translated it herself. You're just going to have to deal with it.

We all know you'd just end up waiting for a video LP and then watching the whole thing mute because you can't stand Youtube LPers anyway...

My mun suggests using the hiragana to search for the game. By using ”あおおに” to find it. If you type it in using a Japanese language keyboard, the "ao" part will turn into kanji on youtube. But the search results are more or less the same.

My mun actually routinely looks for LPs and the like of the game because she's fascinated, but, in her words "too chicken to play it". But she really enjoys watching.

She also says "depending on the downloads of the game you find, if you can find one that isn't compressed, you can use RPGMakerXP to change the dialogue with ease. XP uses a simple function to call the window, so really, all you'll need to do is press a little edit button each time you find a dialog window."

...Mun, that's a lot of things to say. *quirks an eyebrow at her*

'Kay, I'm getting shoved at you because the mun's all "WHICH HORROR GAMES WHERE I WANT TO SEE" but seriously, don't answer that. She gets little enough sleep as is. Insists that shit doesn't scare her, but hah, shoulda seen her after watchin' the LP of your game...

Well, my game isn't really the issue. She's watched pretty much all versions of those. It's that she's going around looking for videos of OTHER games, like, uh...

Uh, "Re:Kinder, Onianbe," and a bunch of other random stuff that shows up under "フリーゲーム" on Pixiv and NicoNico. She's been watching a bunch of that sort of stuff lately.

Apparently if you type "free game" in katakana at Pixiv and NicoNico, you find all sorts of this stuff. She could probably whip up a list, honestly.

Well I'm askin' her not t- 'kay, there goes a new tab with Pixiv open. Lost cause now, I bet.

I'm fairly sure that's a common dislike for most people. I'd ask what HAPPENED, but the mun says there's literally no explanation for it.

The mun says the interesting thing about the tag is you can see what the big titles are right now really quickly. Like that "Ib" thing, whatever that is.

Just as long as you find someone who isn't too irritating presenting the game. Turns out bad gameplay video habits are universal.

She says, "it makes sense that random stuff would appear under that "free game" tag." *Beat.* She has some less-than-minor comprehension of Japanese. Mostly just basic phrases and what a few kanji and the hiragana and katakana.

Same with the mun. She just knows enough to type in simple phrases and that's it. But it's been enough to provide her with way the hell too much viewing material. Oh, and you know it's REALLY fun because she watches them with those comments and they keep freaking reminding me of the damn blue thing. Sheesh.

Beats watching LPs of generic fantasy RPG Maker games anyway

I like seeing cool tricks done with the RPG Maker engine, too. :O Programming whee!

The best part is watching on Nico Nico and seeing how frequently "AO ONI" in kanji pops up.

Is it actually weird that I've only heard of it via a) the LP I stumbled across and b) you?
