I've noticed a bit of an increase in new people, and creatures, for neighbors.
I don't want to know what it is you're plotting, but I know you're up to something. Just please, leave my friends and me out of it. I've been going through a really hard time right now. You know that.
[It's been homesickness that weighs heavily inside her. Time flies by fast, with all the researching about anything she doesn't already know about her very worst enemies. But that didn't mean she wasn't aware of how much of the holidays have come and gone since she has been unwillingly separated from her parents and close friends, back at her Earth.]
Pretty sure I wasn't hallucinating when seeing that big, light blue, shiny snake. I can't afford to lose myself anyway. I don't want to...

Have you ever seen any big snakes that hover above the ground, and look all...watery? Like, they were made from water?
[She shrugs, and then sighs.] I don't know how else to describe it. And I'm not up to going anywhere near the one I saw.

[Whoa dude, that's quite the hairstyle. Mari frowns in discomfort as she'll recall her brief encounter with the unusual and big snake.]
No, I wasn't hurt. I kept my distance. It makes sense to not want to go near any snakes the size of those large pythons in the wild, to begin with.
Weird that it was hovering a few feet above the ground. And there was this shimmery, shiny appearance to it. Like sunlight on water. It's not like any kind of snake that exists in my world. [She tilts her head slightly as she looks to him.] Anything you could tell me might be helpful. If you know anything about this snake, that is.

Have you seen weird things like that before, or was that a first time?
And I don't think I know anything about it in particular about this snake, but now I'm wondering if it might be someone's Stand. Stands are - if this is your first time with anything supernatural, you'll think it's crazy talk, but Stands are projetions of people's souls. I wouldn't be surprised to see a snake. For example, my now perhaps best friend (or one of them) at first compared my Stand to a melon, though I do believe he was trying to insult us since I was trying to kill him at the time. Long story. One of my other friends compared my Stand to a humanoid octopuss, I think that's more accurate.
Anyway, if the snake was floating, and if you have a history of seeing the supernatural stuff - you see, normal people can't see Stands - it might be a Stand. In which case, if you saw the snake doing something evil, it might be best to find the user and give him some stern talking to. If not, leave him be. It's just somebody's spirit - soul - whatever you'd call it. You could call it an astral projection, I suppose. Some people are born with Stands - I was - and some gain them somehow, I still don't know how exactly, seeing as that never happened to me. My friend I mentioned gained a Stand through his blood connection to an ancient vampire and at first locked himself in jail because he thought his Stand was an evil spirit. I guess I can see his point of view

because if Hierophant - my Stand - wasn't like a part of me and a best pal of sorts for as long as I could remember - my parents just thought I had an imaginary friend, and still think so - if I first materialised him as a teenager, I'd probably be a bit weirded out by him, too.
It's easy to check whether that snake could be a Stand. We could check whether you can see Stands. Do you want to find out? I could show you mine. And if you cannot see it, we'll know that the snake is something else entirely. I just want to ask first. I wouldn't want to scare you.

Well... I've seen snakes, if we're talking about the same thing. I've seen water. Haven't yet seen anything that looks like both of those things, except Dvalin. Why? Has something happened?

[Mari proceeds to explain.]
I saw a very large snake, hovering or floating a bit above the ground as I was just walking by the other day. It's light blue, and yeah. It looks like it's made of water. The way it looked under the sun? Looking at the creature reminded me of how the surface of a swimming pool looks during the day.
I didn't dare go near it, and I didn't really see it do much as I kept moving.

Half of what he says, she doesn't understand--but she'll put aside for the moment. This, along with the beginnings of a curiosity on what sort of world this man with the 80's hairstyle comes from.]
It was my first time seeing the watery-looking snake, but it definitely hasn't been my first time around, um, supernatural occurrences.... Some close friends of mine and I had encountered some nasty and crazy powerful spirit beings that called themselves mind wraiths. And they choose who to show themselves to, and how much they want to mess around with and freak someone out.
Just not me. I wouldn't know why, or know what their agendas are. They didn't say what theirs were around my friends.
[She sighs out a bit of her frustration.] I've got more than enough to worry about, because of those creeps. Yet, it's not a bad idea to find out on whether or not this snake is another threat.
Who are you, by the way? My name is Mari.
[Given with how confident and somewhat open she is around the man, no, she's not afraid of him. She can tell he's friendly, and offering to help. And already, she decides she should learn as much as she can from him.]

So it's probably something else, but it sounds dangerous, too.
[He doesn't sound too distraught at a possibility of danger, as if he had to be in dangerous situations lately whether he wanted to or not - so it's like not sounding too distraught at the possibility of a small earthquake of the like, because such things just happen, not rarely]
[And since it's probably something else, there's probably no need to try to show her his Stand, since she likely wouldn't see Hierophant anyway.]

What were those 'mind wraiths' trying to do, exactly? [And also..] Did it concern only you and your friends?

[Her slight smile is going away as she begins to explain.]
None of us were sure, because they never said or revealed much. What we already knew was about their enjoyment of starting trouble, and causing some messed up, and chaotic things to happen...
The other-worlder we were friends with--they were concerned about us being attacked, possessed, or scared by them.
Too much had happened, in a little over a week. [She pauses to quietly breathe for a moment. No, please, no flashbacks.] There were some events that just happened, without warning. Disturbing, freaky things.

[Pausing, for she has to think a bit.] I know I've been searching and searching to find anything I don't already know, or might've overlooked about the mind wraiths.
If there's anything in your world that's got a bunch of legends and lore about different types of spirits... I don't know. Noriaki, maybe you might come across something?
