For the first time, I'm in a new world, but I didn't put myself here. I can't say I fully agree with this development, but I'm willing to play along. I'll trust you for now.
[This feels... familiar somehow. Safe. For the life of him, he can't say why. It isn't like this is the first time he's been in a similar situation. At least he isn't being attacked, and he doesn't have to watch his sister be torn from him to places unknown. But she isn't here now either. And he's a little lost.]
So this place is where others from other worlds come, and the point of it all is to meet them and get to know them, right? That doesn't seem so bad.
