tmw you get a doctor muse when you're sick
In other words, you're grateful, I'll assume?
Come on now. I was willing to overlook a few bad choices on your part while you were sick, but you've recovered quite nicely since then. Hopefully, in the future, you'll listen to the proper advice.
I suppose that's life. Making mistakes, and then getting over them.
We should consider the future now, shouldn't we? I think... there's no need to rush with this decision. Clearly, we're far from Wallachia, so...
[Trailing off, she looks thoughtful, and a little sad. After a moment, she shakes her head.]
Well, we can figure things out. Until then, we both have a lot of work to do on various matters, don't we?

Anyhow, hi and welcome! I suppose? Where lies this Wallachia? Is it on Earth? Or one of the colonies?

[The mun kindly requests one Doctor Lisa Trepe to stop with the dragging, please.]
To my knowledge, it is a place on Earth, although I have had to reconsider a lot of things that I thought I knew. Where are the colonies you speak of?
no subject
In space! The colony I was going for was named Homestead II. Then there's Homestead I and maybe a few more. Homestead II lies 60 light-years away from Earth.

Space! So you are from a place with access beyond the stars. May I ask you more about it?
When I first met my husband, it was because I wished to learn more about medicine and other things of the world, you see. Yet such travels are nowhere near common in Wallachia, or anywhere else, I would think.

I left Earth because in our time the need for mechanics' is low. If something breaks you just buy a new one. The colonizes on the other hand, they need people like me. Hence why I got it paid for me.

Oh, but it's rude to not at least invite you for a seat. Pardon me...
[She'll just pull out a pair of chairs because the dear mun space is at least considerate, although Jim will have to enjoy the 'rustic' nature of them. If she had the superhuman strength to gather up armchairs, maybe she'd get those, but these will have to do for now.]
Those who are helping set up entirely new places are always incredibly valuable. [Farmers, doctors... A lot of other things are good, too, like a nice inn, but some things need the basics.] What sort of things do you repair, then?
no subject
[He gives her a smile as he takes a seat.] Thank you. I'm Jim.
Mostly mechanical machines. Droids, farming machines, toasters. That sort of thing. I mostly work with metal. One day I want to build a house though.

[If anything, she just sounds delighted at this fact.]
Would the house you wish to build- would that be similar to machines as well?

Well. Simple by comparison, I suppose.
[She smiles a little bit behind one hand. A lot of things are simpler when placed next to Dracula's castle.]
I hope you'll find a peace in such a home. I cannot imagine another world, such as your Homestead II, but maybe it will have pleasant moments like seeing the sun rise.

[He then nods in consideration.]
I'm told it's very familiar to Earth. But I won't get to see it. It's still 88 years away. I'll die on the ship. If I'm lucky maybe my children gets to see it.

[Also kind of immortal and rules over just about all other vampires, so, you know. She keeps that to herself, however. It's not something she's inclined to tell to random strangers.]
[Besides, when he says that second part, she jolts a little bit, and leans forward in concern.]
Oh- I apologize for bringing up such a topic, then.

It's fine. I've had two years to come to terms with it. I'm fine now... and if I hadn't woken up more than five thousand people would be dead now. It all worked out in the end though and I don't mind sticking around to keep a look on things.

[Especially from her homecountry, where medicine was still so far behind, and death could come terrifyingly quickly to some people. She shakes her head.]
Well, I would not want to bring back any unpleasant memories. Could you tell me more about the... You called them droids?
no subject
Sure! They comes in all sort of shapes. Some are human-like, they're called androids, some are tiny ones that sweeps the floors. We call them drones. Then there's those that are somewhere between. Not human-like, but not small either. it all depends on what they're built for. A chef robot needs hands after all. While androids are a comforting human face.
