This is a terrible idea and you know it. No one seems interested in playing with this version of me even thought I do owe Newt a debt. At least I think I might. No one seems like they care what happened to me besides you.

My mundane has been curious about what happened to you. She wasn't pleased when she read certain rumors about our world.

My mundane read those rumors too. She still holds out hope that they aren't true.

And did you succeed in yours?

You shouldn't think that. I've always admired you.

She seems a bit jaded regarding the situation, but we both think that the rumor seems to be a simple way to explain a situation that should have a complex solution.

It seemed that there were people who knew you before Grindelwald stole your identity. We both find it difficult to believe that so many people could be fooled by the type of trickery the rumors suggest.

Your brother for one if those rumors are true. It breaks my heart and hers that no one noticed the switch. Not one person....other than perhaps Tina.

I'm not certain if that is better or worse than the story we were told about your identity.

[For a moment, Newt considers his words. If Graves were one of his beasts, he'd know the correct tone and phrase, but this is more complicated than that.]

I don't believe that if no one noticed, it was your friends' fault. Grindelwald is charming, brilliant. He would know exactly how to reassure them that everything was normal or to push them away so that they wouldn't notice the details that would have gave him away. That might be why Tina was demoted. She would have noticed the differences and raised the alarm.

There are people who want to talk to me, and miss me when I'm gone. It's a beginning, anyhow.
