Mun? Why am I even here? I mean, Ranulf's not here, Lethe's not here, you've been doing nothing but playing Fire Emblem heroes for the last four months, so why me? We Laguz aren't even in that game, so barely anybody knows who we are as a species in the fire emblem franchise. Besides, I don't mind Beorc or anything, but I'm not really a huge fan of a lot of them either. What? A bunny Laguz? What's a Taguel? Oh, there's some other neat species of people out there for me to meet besides just Beorc and fellow Laguz? Well... maybe. I don't know though...

Wait, you're saying you do know where Lethe is?! You're not just saying that so I won't abandon you right? Sheesh, you're really not the most reliable mun in the world, why didn't you say that in the first place? Okay, I guess I'll tag along if Lethe's around. Too bad commander Ranulf isn't around too, I have this really cute set of bracers I wanted to show off with my new fighting technique. I'm positive he'd be super impressed with me while I'm wearing them!

[Lyre is far less composed in her desire to bite things.]

Arrrrgh! Why do I even bother!? The big reason I joined the service was so that I could spend more time with you! And then you go running off to gods knows where, without saying anything, and then you bark at me like a drill sergeant!

[...ouch. That was...unexpectedly painful to hear.

Lethe's ears stay pinned back, and her tailtip twitched a bit closer to her ankle. She wasn't going to tuck tail and run off, but that was unpleasant.]

It's not safe here, Lyre.

[Lethe's voice is more measured this time, not as snappish. And she still didn't answer most of what Lyre asked.]

[Well, at least the gravity of how upset she was by Lethe's reaction was sinking in... but maybe she had been a bit harsh. It was rare to see Lethe even this level of subdued.]

As opposed to what? A war-zone where thousands try to kill me? Guarding the border of Gallia where deranged racist Begnions go on Laguz hunts? We fought in a war side by side Lethe! What could possibly be so dangerous here that you feel like you have to protect me like a helpless kitten!?

[Lyre sighed, and in spite of telling Lethe she hated her just a minute or two ago, she reached out to wrap her sister in a hug. No, she's not letting you squirm or tsun your way out, accept your damn hug like a Laguz.]

Look... I know I'm not as strong as you, and you think I need you to protect me all the time... but don't you realize I wanna protect you too!? I've been really lonely without you around all the time like when we were kids.

[She's totally not crying, her eyes are just sweaty!]

Oh then you've definitely gotta dress up a bit more! You look pretty plain wearing an outfit like that with no other accessoried!

[Give her a minute to circle around Florina, look her up and down, and appraise the situation.]

Okay! Here's what you do. You don'f have a tail or cute cat ears, so you gotta do it the Beorc way! You should get a helmet with one of those fancy feather things on each side... or maybe wearing flowers in your hair if you don't have a helmet.

Let's see... oh! You should also wear one of those cloak thingies! Like a bright red one to offset your hair. Trust me, you'll blow everyone away going into battle like that!

B-bright red? I don't know if that's safe in the sky... we wear light colors for a reason.

...pegasus knights mostly don't wear helmets either. Flowers, though... might work.

Wait... you mean you Beorc actually use Camouflage? Huh...

[In her defense, most pegasus knights does not fight as intelligently as Florina and her sisters.]

How about a sky blue cloak then? It'll go with your armor, you'll blend in pretty well still like a big fluffy cloud in the sky, and it'll be eye catching when you do impressive fighting techniques.

...when you put it that way, I know it's strange... but I've grown up with that. And pegasus knights often operate separate from the rest of the army.

[ So she'd feel more comfortable on a dangerous scouting mission than having everyone paying attention to her, basically. ]

Too much attention from girls is a bit overwhelming as well, but you're right. Guys are... I have trouble with them.

... Huh... I guess you're just one of those wallflower types. It's kind of rare among beast Laguz since we're usually so predatory, but common as heck among the heron tribe... well... when the heron tribe was still in large numbers.

Well you know her better than most of her other friends right? Why don't you do something that only she would know the reference to? Like something from when you were kids, or from her home. Like... I don't know, wearing a certain kind of outfit that's kind of nostalgic for her.

[Lethe does start to lean back, tail bristling out a moment in surprise. But the rest of her relaxes quickly after the surprise, and her ears lift a little bit.]

...I...didn't know.

[She doesn't point out the tears in Lyre's eyes or the wobble in her sister's voice. She doesn't point out the dozen things Lyre could be doing to become a better fighter.

Lethe just slowly and only a little awkwardly returns the embrace, curling her arms around her sister's shoulders.]

[This was... nostalgic. She hadn't had a good hug with Lethe for a long, long time, and while she did feel a little weak in her sister's eyes for breaking down like that, it was worth it to be this close to her again.]

Well now you know you silly dummy, and I hope you know I'm never gonna leave you alone.

[She was pretty sure Lethe was going to bop her over the head for calling her a dummy, but she didn't care, she had her sister again, and everything was better that way.]

What have you even been up to anyways? My mun keeps talking about ridiculous things, but you keep talking about serious things, so I can't really figure out what's going on very well.
