[ Levy did not wait for an answer, turning away from her mun and walking a few steps away.]

Everything is going wrong. I want to do something [ Her fists were balled tight at her sides.] to help the guild. To help him. ,but I am too late.

Lu-chan. [ Despite the despair in her eyes, she greeted her friend with a thin smile. ]

What are we supposed to do? [ Gajeel...Mest... Why is this all happening now?]

[ Lucy wished she had an answer for her friend. ]

I... I don't know, Levy-chan. But..we...we have to keep believing in... [ She inwardly flinched. How hard it must be to believe in the guild, in their friends when Levy just lost the person she ..loved. She coudn't even say things would turn ot all right, because even if they succeeded in turning Zeref's forces back... Levy lost the man who loved her...

You're right. [Levy let out a breath. She would grieve, but not now. Not when everything that could go wrong is going wrong.]Everyone is going to suffer because of what has happened but-
[ Her grief would be a drop in the ocean if they can't win against Zeref.]

[ Everyone is going to suffer. Especially Levy. ... if Brandish hadn't given up on her hatred for Lucy (thanks to Aquarius), and they made friends (sort of) ... she'd have lost Natsu. ... and perhaps that's why she immediately pulls her best friend into her arms for a tight hug. ]

[ Levy melted into the hug, held back tears spilling over at once. No words came. Just broken sobs.


After everything falling apart, it was nice to have Lucy there ]

[ Lucy hugged her friend tightly for as long as she needed to let those tears out, not willing to stop her from grieving for any reason. It was going to be hard for her friend..especialy with the way the rest of the battle was going. Mest may have just signed the death warrant of everyone meeting with August now. ]

[ Levy was shaking like a sapling by the time her tears had dried up. She had been crying so much lately that her tears seemed harder and harder to muster even when the sorrow threatened to overwhelm her.

Finally, Levy pulled away from Lucy.]

Be careful, okay Lucy-chan? [ I do not want to lose everyone else too. ]

[ Letting Levy pull away, Lucy gently smoothed a hand over her friend's hair. ]

[ She managed..barely..to keep from saying, 'Natsu is with me', since it felt like she'd be pointing out that Gajeel... yeah she's going to step away from that elephant in the room. ]
