I'm not sure I'm meant to get married or start a family. I want those things and I'm trying but I honestly don't know if they're out there for me. I'm not even sure Red or John are even still around. And if those guys can't deal with my schedule I don't think anyone can.
[A long pause, a hard swallow before Shelby gathers her thoughts.]
But what I do know is I was born to be a race car driver. It's literally in my blood and a lot of people gave something over the years to make that happen for me. So I think it's time we stop worrying about everything else and just focus on the race. It's the biggest race of the year in my home city. It's time to get to work.
