I have to admit, lady, I'm pretty flattered that out of all the muses you made up in this place, mineis the only one you remembered. We do have a lot of memories here, don't we? I'd suggest putting me somewhere but I-- don't really think Katara or Sokka are around.

[ And since he never met his Freedom Fighters here, he pauses and frowns. ]

Do yourself a favor and don't leave me in the dust. Again. You really don't do all that much, there's plenty of time in your life for little old me.

Sokka, I-- how have things been? [ Like a schoolgirl talking to her crush. He's missed his brother. ]

[ Sokka's easy about returning it, too. It's been far too long and he's missed his brother, too. ]

Oh, you know, saving the world, getting the girl. [ An offhand gesture and then his face drops a bit. ] Actually, I haven't being seeing much action for a while now.

What about you?

It feels like it's been years. She kinda just logged in and read some old stuff so, y'know... here I am? Have you seen Suki? Or Katara? [ Anyone. ]

I don't think I'll be going anywhere but I really miss you guys. It's like I never even got to say goodbye.

Man, I miss you, too. All of you. It's been so quiet.

[ He scratches at the back of his head, sort of at a loss for how to feel. Happy to be reunited? Sad it's been so long? A complicated assortment of emotions. ]

I-I think Katara's still around here somewhere. Lemme see...

[ whoah. ]

[ Very bittersweet. Especially since he can't help but wonder when they'll meet again after this. ]

Yeah... I feel like even though that place we were at was so crazy, we at least had each other. I miss it more than I miss... [ His voice trails off. He knows what happens to him at home. ]

[ He's rendered speechless for a moment. He looks more timid than anything. He's almost afraid she isn't really there. ]

Katara?

[ Sokka can't think about anything but this moment. He won't. ]

Hey, yeah, but we still have each other, right? We're family, all of us. Even if— Even if we don't see each other, we don't stop caring.

[ he's not the only one. finally, she waves a little awkwardly at him. ]

Hey. It's - you look pretty good.

[ He gives a solemn smile. He's glad to see that Sokka hasn't changed, and that he remembers all the time spent. ]

Nah, that'll never change. You marry Suki yet?

Are you kidding? A girl like that's way too good for a jerkbender like me.

[ Slowly, he takes a step forward. Raising his hand, he twirls the ends of her hair before smiling at her, seeming relieved. Yes, this is real. She's real.

And as much as he wants to, he's not going to overstep any boundaries, he's just going to give her the most heartfelt smile he has. ] I miss you.

I don't know, seems to me like you had the girl before you were saving the world, buddy.

[ she's... having a lot of the same thoughts about him right now, to be honest. she seems shocked more than anything else, even as she reaches up to catch his hand with hers. ]

Same to you. I - didn't think I'd see you again.

[ He gives her hand a firm squeeze.

Then just pulls her into an embrace. He doesn't know what else to say. He really just missed her. ]

[ the same goes for him: she wraps her arms tightly around him, burying her face in his shoulder. ]

We were really bad for each other, you know.

[ said as if to make herself feel better about... all of this. ]

[ He frowns. He nods. And he continues to just hold her, running his fingers through his hair. ]

You'll be fine. [ Be it another game, or back home. She deserves better, is what he means to say, but it can't seem to come out. ]

[ you know what really sucks, more than anything else?

the fact that she can't say the same to him in return. ]

[ half-heartedly trying to needle him into a play argument. ]

[ He gives a soft snicker, he knows his own fate. But he'll be happy to argue hers. ]

[ He pulls away to look at her, both hands on her shoulders. ]

[ she hesitates, studying his face. ]

Zuko still gets so grumpy whenever I talk about you.

[ He furrows his brows. ]

Zuko? He's still around? [ He tries not to let on too much. ] Are you still at Adstring?

[ Sokka waves it off and puts an arm around Jet's shoulder. ]

So, what kind of adventures are we reminiscing about?

[ The Freedom Fighter chuckles. ]

[ Mostly rhetorical. He rubs at his chin thoughtfully. ]

Well, we always used to start with an argument, right? Usually something about you and Katara or you and Zuko or you and Azula... Usually something about you.

[ Ehehehe. ]

Yeah, but... [ There's a pause as he glances over. ] I was never the one who really started the fights.

Most of the time. [ Right?? ]

We all started our fair share. It was Adstring, what can I say?

[ A huff and he pulls away to give Jet a soft a punch in the shoulder. ]

You know, I think that place is gone. Like gone-gone!

It was crazy. Crazier than home, which says something. [ Even if Jet contributed a good amount of crazy back there, too. ]

Really? It's for the best, I guess. There was more suffering than anything. [ He won't let on that he'd rather continue on fighting in Adstring than dying at home. ] Have you gotten to speak with the others since?

Katara. Azula, too. Just since I left, though. Not recently.

Katara seems like she's doing well. [ He is going to completely ignore Azula's name for the sake of catching up with his buddy. ] Yours hasn't put you anywhere?

Nope. She likes to reminisce, but she's still stuck with the guy that came after me.

Sucks. I'd be out there if she let me.

You might just be safer in her head, Sokka. [ Muns be crazy. ] I'm not sure where I want to be. It'd be nice to go to a game.. but starting from scratch, it'd be weird.

There are a lotta places you can go now where you can take that stuff with you. Y'know, the memories and stuff.

I'm hurt. You seem to have forgotten to mention lil ol' me.
