it's hard to ignore a dragon that keeps demanding your attention
[It's your responsibility to do as I command, Alduin says. You're a tiny insignificant being which makes you my servant, he says. Roar, roar, roar. Nag, nag, nag. Apparently when a dragon gets bored, they just complain a lot. Exhibit A:]
I see you are considering Paarthurnax over me, mal aar, because you assume he will be easier to deal with. Easier to interact with lesser creatures. His so-called "kindness" is weakness! That vax, that traitor, will die if you bring him. Naal dii rax, rok fen dir! By my teeth, he will die!
[Good grief. Calm down, Grumpy Gus. I'm just saying, it's really annoying when the majority of people around here are humans and you just try to eat them instead of talking.]
Watch your insolent tongue, joor. [A huff as smoke unfurls from his nostrils, a warning of the fire roiling in his throat that he is prepared to unleash.] They are not worth my time. You are hardly worth my time.
[And this is why Paarthurnax is starting to look like a better idea in terms of... you know, actually getting to meme and stuff.]
You have been warned of the consequences for treachery, mal aar.

Silence your tongue, meyus Deyra, and begone with your petty games.

If you want me to stop you'll have to prove me wrong. Go ahead. Break your mun's - which is short for mundane just to remind you - command and strike me down.

I am mighty, but not foolish. Deyra are not easy prey.

You know these mundanes are quite interesting. We wouldn't consider them mundane at all. Powerful beings we might be but they could alter our very form.
For instance, just as an example of course, your mundane could put you into the form of a mortal if they so desired! Maybe a grumpy old Nord. Maybe a Dunmer?
This is all for sake of example of course. Why would ANYONE turn you into a mortal? You hate mortals.
[Wink wink, nudge nudge. He'd totally trade a magical artifact to see this happen.]

Vuth tol! Do not encourage her!

[and now just completely ignoring Alduin.]

Alduin despises us both and is making it known in a string of Dovahzul, which is going on ignored while his mun goes to work her magic. There was a mortal design for him somewhere she really liked...]

Excuse the patchwork icons, waiting on a commission
She has no choice but to try to talk her way out. Six points in Charisma, don't fail her now...]
I can't say I've had the honor of meeting a dragon before. So, what language is that? Some kind of Fourth World holdover?
[...It could have been worse.]

You're supposed to be an ancient dragon? You look like one of Onyxia's runts, let alone trying to rival the Aspects of Azeroth.

"Dragon! Big cute dragon!"
Koishi. Don't try to hug the bringer of the apocalypse.

no worries! it's the writing that matters, after all, not the icons.
We have become disappointingly rare. [The disgust is thick in his voice, but eventually transitions into some degree of pride when he speaks again.] Dovahzul, the dragon tongue. Every word harnesses power if spoken properly. [A beat as his red eyes fix on her, scrutinizing.] I do not know what "Fourth World" refers to.

Raaz fosoth nid, size speaks little of true strength. [A lesson he has begrudgingly learned recently. But hey look, it's working in his favor now.] No matter the size of others: my might will conquer.
d y i n g, this is beautiful
Big cute dragon isn't very friendly.]

[In other words: yes. And this guy has the biggest ego of them all in his world.]

Zu'u eim hin jur, I accept your challenge!
She's going to get her hug. One way or another! Maybe they'll even go out for milkshakes later.
She faded from his perception for a moment before appearing again, perched lightly on his back between his shoulder-blades and just in front of his wing joints. She promptly flopped forward, hugging him, her cheek squished against his scales. "Mister Draaagon! That's not nice! Don't be so grumpy!"
Koishi pls. You might be an ancient beast of myth and legend but you're really tempting fate here!
FFFF as long as that milkshake is made with the souls of the dead
By some mixture of rage and a wounded ego, Alduin immediately starts propelling himself into the air, thrashing violently in the effort to throw Koishi off of him.]
Gaar zey, hi hefhah ulfah! Release me, you idiot creature!
[Have you seen a dragon throw a temper tantrum, Koishi? Because if not, this is what it looks like, right here.]
That can be arranged! Souls 'n Strawberries is a popular malt flavor in Tartarus.
Secure as she was, she did flop around and bump her cheek against his scales as he thrashed and turned in the sky... but... She was laughing. She was having fun while riding on his back.
"NoooOOO!" Her voice went a little shrill as he moved more violently, the little youkai positively squealing with joy. "Not until you stop being so gruuummppyyyyy!"

But what was that? Dragons should know better than anyone about the cycles of the world that she only had the barest grasp of.]
Uh...you know, the cycles like the Mayans figured the world works in?
[Unless this dragon is actually from a world so early that hadn't been figured out yet? Just trying to imagine life without magic in the world, with only humans, her grandparents' (and parents', to a point) Fifth World, was a little headache-inducing. Imagining history as reality has always been hard for her, and the existence of the worlds before those people were still alive to talk about were but abstract concepts to her.]

Just remember that goes both ways, dragon. I've faced down your kind before and will likely do so again. Those who rely solely on their own power to conquer cannot defeat me.
Dragon VS Titan! Go!
