Well, it'd be nice, seein' 'em again. [And heart wrenching. He can already feel a knot pulling tight in his chest at the thought.] God knows we don' get that luxury where we come from.

It would be nice. To see everyone again.

[If this were possibly to be the case. Only time would tell. Even if sometimes it might bring more pain and guilt to see certain faces once more.]

Yeah. Might jus' be wishful thinkin', but Mundane thought it'd be a worth a shot to drop in, check things out anyway. [He drops the subject for a second to offer her a little smile.]

Might be. Can't hurt to hope though. [Hope is important. The only thing keeping any of them going since the initial outbreak.]

I'm okay. Not like she is doing a lot with me lately anyway. So things could be worse in games or whatever.

Maybe. [He turns his gaze back to the horizon, shrugging softly after a moment.] Could also be better.

I don't mind. I know the alternative, even if Asgard wasn't so bad in comparison to some other games around. What about you though?

M'fine... [As fine as one can be expected to be after dashing his friend's brains out with a rock. His eyes tell a different story.] Don' worry 'bout me. [He manages something of a smile.] Wouldn't mind gettin' getting li'l more sleep, though.

[Yeah. Don't think she isn't noting the look in his eyes. She knows how some of these games can be. Knows he's more active than her in that sense. Clementine just isn't sure if she should ask. If he wants to tell her. Or is trying to protect her. The way a lot of adults do.]

It's fine, really. Ain't nothin' we haven't dealt with before. [And would again. Such is life.]

[Because. It isn't. At all, Luke. Nope. And she hates that. How helpless she feels in the face of it. Knowing he's stuck somewhere and she can't do anything for him. Except be here when they need her. Which doesn't seem like a lot.]

Look, I don' like it either, but... I can handle it. [Sometimes he's astounded by his own resilience. Or ability to bottle things up and keep moving. But all survivors have their limits and one day he'd come face to face with his.] There ain't much of a choice.

Doesn't make it right. The least they can do is put us...places where we have an easier time. You'd think. We deserve that much, after everything.

[Doesn't mean it will happen, of course. She knows that. Even with how tame Asgard was at times in comparison. It was still dangerous. Most all games are, to some extent.]

Life ain't fair, Clem. All you can do is try t'make the best of a bad situation. [Oh, he tried putting his opinion forth. And here he is, still trapped in a vicious cycle of deathmatch after deathmatch.]

I know. But still....I don't like this. That you or anyone should have to try make the best of it.

[And yet there's no way any of them could really go back. Go back to the days prior to the outbreak when everything was happier. When things were normal and there was school and family and home.]
