Virtue's Last Reward Spoilers!
Do stop me if you have heard this one before, mundane.
Over a few short years, an old man grows close to the boy he considers his son. When at last the two might call themselves 'family', this man betrays his child and turns him over to a gruesome system. For the "greater good," the man constructs a deadly game in which its competitors must fight for survival, the fate of his son out of his hands until his scheme concludes.
Now. Have I described my canon, or my arc in The Games?
I cannot summon the energy to be angry with you anymore. If I must be a Gamemaker to save the lives of thousands of people, I will accept Zero's mantle one last time without complaint.
But once this war ends, I will go quietly to my sentence.
I... tire of this.
