[A very familiar yellow bird flies above her chirping it dives in to softly land on her shoulder. It chirps happily as it cocks his head to the side. Well this wasn't his Chrome he could tell, but it was a Chrome nonetheless. ]

[He wanted to her head looked tempting, but when she began petting him that thought was put on hold. Too busy enjoying the pets he leans his fluffy head closer to her hand puffing up even more.].

[He didn’t believe her no from where he was standing it looked as if she still held that Pineapple in a pedestal. It irked him.]

[She stops petting Hibird. Totally doesn't believe that there is a Hibari who knows about her real name. Aside from her Hibari, that is.]

For the briefest second a shocked expression crossed his features before he regains his composure. He reaches up to loosen his tie reaching into his shirt he pulls out a necklace. A silver band gleams as the light hits it. He removes the necklace slipping the band off of it he slides it into his ring finger. It appears they both had something in common although he was already married to his Chrome for more than two years.

“It appears we both share the same fate.”

Her visible eye widen slightly at the sight of the ring. She instinctively traces hers—a single-diamond, gold-banded engagement ring, which is circling her left ring finger.

"It... seems so."

She still can't believe it.

"... Are you happy with her?"

"Happy?"

He scoffs at the mention of the word.

"Does it really matter? And you are you happy with my other self?"

"I will feel... bad if 'I' can't make you happy," her words are spoken softly. There's hint of worry in her voice as well.

The color of her cheeks change into lovely shades of red as she nods. "I am."

He pauses for a bit before speaking. Unsure on how to respond to her. Settling with the truth he nods.

"She tries to, but I will not let myself feel such a Herbivorish feeling. A women will not bring me happiness fighting will.

Wow, tell me how did the two of you decide to wed one another?"

He was sure that all Hibaris despise being tide down. To find another that was soon to wed was rather strange and amusing. Oh how they have fallen.

She puts on a sweet smile at the answer. It is to be expected from Hibari. Chrome is content enough to know that her parallel version is trying her best to be useful to this Hibari.

"... I am not sure if we're going to get married," her gaze fell to the tip of her shoes. "He suddenly said that we're engaged and gave me this ring. Apparently it has something to do with the deal he made with Mukuro-sama."

It's not like Chrome will put a leash on Hibari. She won't ask to be protected or anything that might bother him; just being allowed to stay close with him is enough.

He twitches at the mention of Mukuro. She should know that it is taboo to mention that Herbivore in his presence. But unlike his younger self he wont go berserk no instead he inhales then exhales.

"Deal. Does that mean he has not fallen for you?"

It's rather cruel that he's marrying her out of a deal. Not even he would go through it. He would never admit this but out of all the guardians she was the only one that he genuinely liked. He was protective of his Chrome, but even knowing that she was not his he was still harboring those feelings.

Sadly, she doesn't. The Hibari and Mukuro from her world are in a platonic relationship of some sort. They still throw mock insults at each other, but not on the verge of killing each other at any moment.

"I... am not sure..."

Yes, even though they had started living together for quite awhile, she still can't confirm his feelings. Albeit it's quite clear with how her Hibari allows her to touch him and all. She's just that dense.

But, enough about her. "You... you loved her but that doesn't make you happy?"

He liked her but not loved her. It was complicated on how they became a married couple. He was stuck in a loveless marriage.
