As you've come to discover I'm sure there are worlds outside of your own. The ones you have discovered thus far don't deviate too highly from your own. There are still conscious beings that you can reasonably understand. They might be intending to do harm, but this is usually your typical world domination ambition or revenge story.

There are beings that from far off worlds however that we can't understand. Are so unlike us we can't entirely understand their goals. What we do know about them is their need for destruction and consumption. They would corrupt and consume our entire world if given the doorway into our world.

That is what we wish to stop before it happens. In my world's case that is stopping beings whom have an aspect of these gods within them. Sealing away the powers this bestows upon them and maybe restoring their sanity.

There are other methods they could use to get into a world. Ritual and sacrifice to break boundaries. So even if my current goal is completed there would still be much to be done.
