Azula has thoughts - look out
It's cute that you think Kuvira's 'meltdown' was similar to mine.
[All the hate - all of it]
Find me new icons. And a nice wallpaper of ME for your laptop. Com'on. Get on it!
[ooc: seriously, does anyone have a good place to get icons for her from and a wallpaper? i'm finding some stuff but not nearly the amount i find for korra.]

And if you did go through something like that, I'm sorry. I don't actually know because I wasn't there. But... no one should have to go through that kind of torment.
[Have a peasant (and not just a peasant, a hobo
a somewhat attractive hobo maybe?) trying to be sympathetic and pity you, Azula.][[avatarspirit.net for HQ screencaps if you want to make your own icons]]

[Yes, she did intentionally emphasize kingdom as opposed to empire.]

[She's totally over that empire vs kingdom thing anyway.]

[Yes, she is aware that most of the world, save her father, views her as a monster. She doesn't care.
Not that she would admit she would care either way.]

Don't patronize me!
[[Thanks!]]

I wasn't intending to. I meant that. No one should suffer that.

Kuvira was an orphan. But... better to be an orphan than to know your own mother thinks you're a monster.
[She stares at her hands. These hands that had wrought so much destruction. Maybe...]
But that doesn't matter. Never did. Mother is gone and I am still here.

[Wan paused for moment before approaching and speaking softly.]
But Kuvira's mother gave her up when she was eight. Her mother might not have thought her a monster, but her mother didn't think she was worth keeping.

[Ah, shit son - Azula has gone off the rails for a bit.]
Mother left us. She left us and started a new life. She didn't want us anymore.
[Completely glossing over the fact that her own father was the reason her mother had to leave. Because it's Azula.]

[There's not much more he could say about that. Having someone walk out on you like that... it had to hurt. Especially a parent. Wan couldn't even say he knew that feeling because he hadn't ever learned what happened to his own. Who they were.]

[Riiight.]
You're that Wan person, right?
[[ooc: I haven't settled on canon point for her so excuse the shaky back and forth. ^^;;]]
no subject
Probably. Wan's a pretty common name, though. Which one are you thinking of?
[[It's fine. That's what places like this are for. :) ]]

[Okay, so maybe there is some begrudging respect there. Considering Azula's disdain for authority and desire for power she can't help but be a little in awe of the first human to defy the lion turtles and keep his bending.]
no subject
The only human to steal firebending from the Lion Turtles.
[That moment of pride out of the way, he let his hands drop to his hips and gave a genuine smile.]
Yeah. I'm that Wan. Why?

[Which he was not really happy about, but from what Zuko has said about her mental state, well... he's sympathetic. Just not to the point of abandoning all caution. But, fortunately, in this place it was safer to speak to people who would be his enemies in another life.]
But you don't really need to be interested in me. I die close to ten thousand years before you're even born. I'm not sure there's much to be interested in.

[She scowls at the 'almost'.]
Not almost. I DID kill the Avatar. That filthy water tribe peasant brought him back.
[Eyes narrowed - grump, grump, grump - yes, it is obvious sometimes that she is Zuko's sister]
You are the origin of all firebenders. Why shouldn't you be of interest to me?
[Knowledge is power - power is what Azula needs. Power and control.]
no subject
[A shrug as that seemed a simple enough concept to him. Then again, he didn't know how long after he died it would take for his soul to leave his body and go into the next life.]
And I'm not the origin of all firebenders. There are hundreds, thousands of humans that the Lion Turtle gave the power of fire to after me. The only thing I'm the origin of, is the Avatar.

[She won't point out the one glaring similarity they have.
Because that would be admitting it exists.]
