Re: that disappointing Second Season
Hmm...
[ He thoughtfully taps a finger against the hardcover of the book in his lap, a light, thoughtful frown decorating his youthful face. ]
...Certainly, the new antagonist appears to be following in my footsteps. Albeit he is treading a different path to reach his ultimate goal. The similarities are striking and I wonder, perhaps, if you would be happier believing that it was the delusion of Miss Tsunemori's mind. Much like that sequel to another series which you refuse to acknowledge.
I can't say I disapprove of the actions he is taking to open the people's eyes to their sheep-like state. But his methods are, on the whole, much more violent than when it was I terrifying the country however. I wonder if his plan won't backfire given the likelihood of the people's fear overriding their good reason. You see, even if I did provide my country the means to rebel against the status quo, I never pushed them to a state of mindless terror. Take this recent episode: there are far better ways to force an Inspector's hand and her psycho-pass. [ Here, he recalls Akane and sighs regretfully. ] The deaths of those in the medical centre were unnecessary for his social experiment.
Now, I wonder if you might return to more pressing matters? I have a book to read, and you, mun, have an essay to complete.
[ And with a serene smile, he opens his book to a previously marked page and begins to read. ]
