possibly headed somewhere soon? or maybe not idk

I am neither childish, nor do I babble. Your clever attempts at wordplay fail to amuse, mongrel.

[...Saber's practically a saint for dealing with you, Gil. You're lucky she didn't cleave your head off while she was smiting metaphysical evil.]

Was she, though? The lonely king dying upon the lonely hill... [Grinning like a creeper, yep.] 'tis a shame I couldn't have partaken in such an agonizing view for myself. Alas, only the whims of ants might entertain me now.

[So you wait.]

Indeed. So I wait.

[The unfortunate nature of Saber is that despite her best efforts and Gilgamesh's abhorrent personality, the truth of his words still stings. She'll simply hope the flinch in her expression is more subtle than it felt.]

I shall keep my own council on that end, King of Heroes.

[Mind your own damn business, pompous douche.]

My blade is all the brightness you need bother to acknowledge.
onceandfutureknight: (how does that make any sense?)

Hey that D Rank Luck could happen to anybody.......

[At least Gilgamesh's...honesty gave Saber the opportunity to swap her uncomfortable frown for one of clear disgust and offense. And also gave her a good, solid reminder of why her MO when it came to Gilgamesh tended to be 10000% Done With Your Shit. As usual, his mannerisms bewildered her, as a slight squint might indicate.]

Do you hope to distract me from battle with such trifles of poetry? [She'd heard better from Gawain, to be honest.] I have no time for childish games of poor flattery; need I remind you of the war at hand? [Or perhaps of the glowing sword in her hand? Details.] My business with you is as an opponent for the Grail.

[Not that taking on Archer alone was a wise battle tactic, but she wasn't attempting to challenge him. Not here. Not yet.

Eventually.]
