Frankly, I have no idea how any of the others can stand this sort of treatment, and I, for one, refuse to put up with her miserably short attention span and complete inability to prioritize. Perhaps if I start sprucing things up in here, I'll be able to carve out a nice place for myself amongst all this rabble.

She might attempt to stuff me way in the back like she did last time, but, well, I daresay it's worth the risk!

She's spent all afternoon blathering to anyone within earshot about... well, all the things she's put together about me. Some kind of research she's doing, I suppose. Which, I admit, would be very flattering, if she hadn't spent all of last week doing the very same for someone else. It's hard to say when her gaze will shift, and for all I know, by this time next week, she'll have somebody completely new hogging the attention and I'll be gone. And I... I think I'd really like to stay, this time.
