You just cleaned it a while back but it doesn't take long to fill up again.

Don't worry. I'll still be here. I have no where to go, after all. You don't need to be worried about me. I'm fine, really. In hindsight, I never expected to be sitting in a jail cell because of turning against someone who I never thought I would, but I'll be fine. As long as Mai and Zuko are okay, that's what matters, right?

Besides! I've met some new friends here, strange as that seems. So go ahead.

Long story short, about a year after we made up, we broke up again. And this time, I don't know if she'll forgive me.

[And with that she can't help but frown. A year.... Has it really been that long since she was in prison or something? But she wasn't there for long...? How was that possible...? Oh well, ask after the topic at hand here.]

You guys broke up again...? Can I ask why?

[He doesn't really want to talk about it, but... She's Mai's best friend, so she'll find out sooner or later, anyway.]

I have a lot of new responsibilities, and back then, I let the stress of everything get to me. I started shutting everyone out and avoiding people, instead of asking for help -- my friends, my uncle, and even Mai.

I didn't mean to hurt her, or keep any secrets from her, but I did. So she left, and we haven't spoken since.

[She's silent for a moment while listening to him.]

Zuko... I'm sorry to hear that... But that's what happens when you have more responsibilities to attend to. You should know that you can always turn to us if you ever need the help or a break though.

That being said though.... I'd assume she'd understand eventually. Maybe you should try to talk to her again? Just explain what happened.

Yeah... I realise now that trying to do everything on my own was wrong, and it lead to a lot of misunderstandings that could have been avoided. [He just has very bad coping skills. ~~Especially when Iroh isn't around to knock sense into him.~~]

I don't know if I should go pestering her. She knows how I feel, so what else is there to say?

Have you told her exactly what was going on and what happened, because it's kind of important to be clear about it. But I guess I can see your point. I'd offer to talk to her about it, but I'm either wise stuck in prison or in my munnie's headspace.

There's nothing to explain. She knows what happened. I'm not like that any more, but I still hurt her, and she's still angry, so... I'm just giving her space.

Well, as long as she knows. You seem sorry enough and I personally think that that's something right there. At least you're aware of it and you feel bad. As long as there's that, I still think there's a chance for her to forgive you.

But space isn't a bad idea... depending on for how long you wait. Just don't wait too long, okay?

Maybe I should beg her forgiveness. I have a lot of practice at that.
