Yep. I hear there's more places where some sicko runs it like that, but this one's the island.

Never been that great with numbers. Lotsa natives. Probably a few thousand? Us folks about a hundred, maybe a bit more than that. Wouldn't really call it crowded though. There's all kinds of spots to hide.

So how does this test driving work?

Yeah, they party sometimes. A few of them run bars to drink away their sorrows over all the drama. [She snorted in irritation.] If your mun's nuts like that, you can just show up here and have a look around, pretend like you're stuck here like the rest of us.

With any luck, your mun will come to your senses and you won't be getting choked into having sex all the time.

Picked up a few. I heard almost all my friends used to be there. It's for the best they're not though. I think Ty Lee's the only one who was ever good at handling being... I don't know, out there. The others were all pretty much new to this kind of crap.

Hah, familiar voices for me, but yeah that first week and a half was a pain in my neck. Had a few folks help out, but I coped. Right now, I'm sort of torn. Having Snoozles around would be good for jokes, but I don't actually want to put him through it.

Anyhoo, it's always good to have people who can help you acclimate. I doubt I'd be so lucky.

And you'd be surprised. There's usually some joker around there looking to help out the new arrivals. They're sort of weird that way, not that it's a bad thing. I just had to remind them that blind doesn't mean I can't take care of myself.

You certainly don't seem like the helpless type to me. I suppose some people just like to help others, like it's in their blood or something. I don't know, I'm not the best person, myself, so I'm not one to judge anyone's character.

Well I doubt there is much I can to while stuck on an island without access to any evil lairs or such, so... Are there any karaoke bars? Bowling alleys? Do people have movie nights?

Karaoke, is that where people sing to songs they know horribly? Yeah, there's a few of those. I think there's a bowling alley, and all the movies are pornos.

It's a sex island, what did you expect? I don't bother going. Seriously, bad enough having to listen to it through the cheap walls at the hostel sometimes. Least the lines are better.

So what do you do to pass the time?

Train. I punch sand to keep up arm strength and resistance. Lift boulders whenever I can find them, lots of weight training, forms, katas. I work for the police as a patrol officer these days.

[She gave him a needlessly big grin.]

Yep, blind cop. Justice is blind. really sad that nobody tries that one on me.

What about when you're not physically exerting yourself? Is there anything you'd recommenced in order to unwind and relax? Hanging out? Chilling with your posse?

Me? Working out is relaxing, if you ask me. But there's a hot springs in town. That's something at least.
