Messing around with a mouthy D&D OC.
Okay, okay, this isn't so bad. No crew of trained monkeys to babysit, no captain shinypants bugging me to do the right thing all the time. Best of all, no getting hunted by a pirate fleet of psychos or running from deep sea monsters. I could get used to this.
That icon thing's a little dramatic but, hey, you work with what you've got.
Just make sure that if I get tossed anywhere it's somewhere nice and comfortable with plenty of suckers and easily impressed crowds and this'll work out nicely.

Paladins.
This character happens to be my only tabletop OC, she's a vampire the requiem muse

Paladins? Is that some sort of code word or are we talking about the real smiting for the lord type of deal?
I went and looked up Mekhets. Chester here is a rogue/sorcerer gestalt character from a current game

No, he's the real deal, smiting happens. Real holy power at work and all that stuff.
Sadly I haven't gotten many chances to play any tabletop games with a group :/

Huh haven't seen one around here before. Then again in a lot of worlds there isn't any evidence of holy powers or at least not the way its presented in scripture. Though there is evidence of souls and an afterlife in mine.
Nothing too specific from what I've learned so far as to suggest which god if any controls it though.

We still have our religious zealots though. In fact there's a whole group of them that's convinced themselves they were chosen by god to be monsters. Sounds like they're just trying to excuse themselves to me though.

Not sure what I would do in that sort of situation myself. Guess it depends on if I agreed with the deity or not. Wouldn't go out of my way to piss them off though.

We've actually got a few of those back home, but if I'm being fair, they're at least right about it.

Far as pissing them off goes, I try to avoid the whole thing altogether. Sure, a lot of them say they're on your side but in my experience nobody ever got to run anything without being some kind of bastard or another, so I don't buy that whole "unconditional benevolence" bit from anybody in charge of a whole section of the cosmos. It's just not worth getting wrapped up in.

I agree with you. If I could I would be neutral in my current political situation, but that's a death sentence unless you have the power to back it up.

Alright I'll just say it. I'm a vampire. Yes the drink your blood sort, but we don't have to kill anyone and you have to be pretty conscious of the fact you're making someone a vampire to do it. So we're not as bad as you might of been taught.
[She sighed.]
That said we're not exactly the nicest group in the world either. Old corpses run the show and everyone abuses the person below them in rank. The covenants are our political groups and like I said if you don't belong to one that's powerful in the city you better be pretty powerful yourself.
[Now she had to wait on what he would say. Not knowing his world very well she wasn't sure what sort of reaction she would get.

Don't worry I wasn't thinking of going after you. Unless I'm desperate I try not to go after people I've been having a good conversation with. Though good idea mentioning the ability to use magic. It's actually pretty common knowledge that you do not fuck with a mage.
[She has no real experience, but she has heard enough to be nervous.]
It's actually harmless to get what we need and actually pleasurable from what I hear, but I can understand still being defensive. That's a lot of trust to put into someone.

[Scared of magic though, huh? Handy little tidbit that he'll hold onto just in case he does ever run into any of the more disagreeable types. It wasn't a bluff anyway, he really can unleash some pretty serious hell if so inclined. Doesn't mean he really wants to fight a vampire though.

Well, I guess I can give you the benefit of the doubt considering different worlds and all that. Just as long as we're both agreed that we'd rather keep having a good conversation than try to kill each other.

Yeah besides from how I understand it people are a lot more agreeable here anyway. I'm just as likely to find a nice person who doesn't mind donating a little blood to keep me going.
Of course if I'm starving I've got to eat, but even then I'd rather rob a blood bank than assault someone if I can help it. It's better for everybody if a vampire gets blood anyway. We're composed the way we are, but there's some more primal urges that drive us if we don't "feed the beast" as some have said to me. If a vampire goes without blood for too long they're more and more likely to rampage.

Put simply a blood bank is storage for blood for medical purposes. Usually used when a patient has lost too much of their own blood through one reason or another. This blood donated by other people is put into their blood stream to help them recover. It's probably more technical than that, but I'm not a doctor.
