I'm enjoying the idea. You're doing a fantastic job with it

Done that a few times too. Still do it from time to time. It's better to hit the punching bag if you don't want to deal with repairs. [The words are accompanied by a wry grin, but there is truth behind them. He still gets frustrated and angry and could hurt someone if he isn't careful. That care that becomes instinctual is something Tony will have to learn.]

Honestly, I don't know how long it'll take for you to be able to work in the lab again. They put me through my paces before I'd even gotten a chance to realize the serum had really worked. Fine control took longer, but I worked at it since I wanted to draw again. You'll have to think about it a lot. Remember that you're stronger than you were. Then it'll become natural and you adapt to the new limits.

As long as you're angsting like Lestat and not Louis, we should be fine. But I'm probably going to have to start reading vampire books to keep up with most of what you say.

[Considering how Tony had described it, he'd had the feeling that date rape would be a close description of what it was like even if Tony would never do such a thing intentionally. Which meant they needed to find options that would keep him safe.]

It might feel like that, but I know you wouldn't do something like that to someone. If it's possible for you to buy blood and cover your tracks, then it's probably the best way. If it's not... It might not be be as offensive if someone knew what they were getting into and there was somewhere safe that they could sleep it off so you knew that there wasn't a danger to them.

Being able to put you through a wall doesn't mean I should. [There's a hint of shadows in his eyes. Old nightmares and fears that he hadn't left behind with the war and had gotten worse when he'd found himself in a world that he didn't recognize.] I might not realize who's in front of me until it's too late. You're wrong about not being the strong one. If you weren't strong, you wouldn't have survived this long. You're smart. You know how to beat the odds so you'll figure it out and turn it into an advantage.

[No matter how much he tries, Steve can't hide his grin, pleased that Tony hasn't gotten caught up in the image of Captain America and knows he's not the poster boy that ended up in the comics.]

Wouldn't be the first time someone high up thought they could push me around or thought I'd be the good soldier boy and follow orders. Usually if they try to make me an errand boy, they don't like the messages I end up carrying.

The serum might not work with whatever it is that makes someone a vampire. I'm more worried about them deciding they wanted me alive instead of turned. I might not be a good follower, but I'd probably be a good food source.
