It's just been kinda hard on everyone.

I normally would say that I'm not surprised, but I have to go with the opposite this time. I know I wasn't exactly "Mr. Popular" at the end...

(That did not cross his mind at first, but when "Mr Popular" comes out of his mouth, he is reminded and well, he isn't sure what to say or do about it. In fact, he's (again) sure that there isn't anything. Sorry doesn't fix everything or even put a dent into it. He just stays quiet.)
