Well, it's not your worst idea ever, I'll give you that. And taking me before the season one finale would throw out all the plot holes the writers created past that point. I can also agree with spending some time out of SHIELD territory given they're compromised in too many universes to trust.
But.
What you're essentially suggesting is I armor up and go save people. Which I'm fine with, but the Mandarin armor doesn't exactly scream 'hero'. Fifty bucks says the second I teleport in my 'allies' will take aim at me and fire. This is kind of a terrible idea. Remember the last time I had allies of any kind? The in-fighting, the lack of progress, the multiple near death experiences?
[...Greenland went well, though.]
Greenland went well because Stark had the ability to throw money at the problem until it went away. I don't.
[C'mon, Gene. How many Mongolian superheroes are out there? Represent your people!]
...again, I refer you to the last time I tried that line of thought. You may not count it as canon but it led to being swallowed whole by a crystal dragon and going insane. Besides, when I hear 'city of superheroes', I automatically translate that to 'city of ignorant white people who don't know Mongolia is still a country'. I don't exist to fill the 'token minority' slot in some Saturday morning cartoon shlock. I have a whole life going on outside of that, thanks.
You really need to think this through more before you throw me in. What about actually throwing Stark at the game? He's more into the whole superhero shtick.

[ Pep, that isn't helping really... ] Actually, come to think of it, Tony could have gotten me out of that warehouse, instead he decided to take you, the Maggai and the Tong on. You were keeping me safe when you could weren't you? [ Hey she's still trying to figure THAT whole mess out. ]
If Tony's not there I think you should try it. You might find out you're good at it. [ Yes she's smiling and actually urging him on with his mun's plans. Gene... You might want to run! ]

He's not there. But I don't know how much superheroing I'm capable of. There's only so much I can work with people before they realize I'm the piece that doesn't fit.

If you want to be good, then do it. It's not like you're your stepfather. [ Oh look she remembered the four letters there. ] And who knows maybe they won't know you there.

It wasn't supposed to turn into what it did. Nobody was supposed to get hurt or end up in danger. That was not the plan, Pepper. Things happened too quickly, and every time I had a plan, it went right out the window.
Even if I get a fresh start, chances are pretty high things would self-destruct like before.

[ Pepper, I'm pretty sure getting his stealth armor out of the tower was more a you factor not Tony... *Mun sighs* ]
I don't think they would. Though mun has some other friends there that have been trying to get her to app... [ SHe bites her lip a little. ] Would it be easier if you had someone to help pull you back if you do start going all darkside again? I mean... that is if you would want someone there.
[ GAH Pep! I'm halfway through the other app for another game. Why you want to go to one now! ]
/not so secretly ships them
She's with Tony. It's not a secret, it happens in multiple universes. She might come along, but he jettisoned his chances of being anything more than her friend a long time ago.] I don't think Stark would appreciate me and his girlfriend running off to some city together. Not to mention what Rhodes would think.
My mun has a pretty specific canon point she's taking me from, too. I don't want to force you and yours to have to play from that point for continuity's sake.
/not the only one.
My mun's actually pretty flexible, I was in one game where I was taken from the warehouse after we had coffee... And then another game where I had just gotten my armor... And the game took it away. [ Oh yes Mun, She's still upset about that! ]
I don't even know what the ship name for this is.
My mun wants to take me from before the Tales of Suspense two parter. [He smiles a little at her.] So. No armor, but you could get superpowers. And we'd get to ditch the plot holes from later on.
Maybe we could go out for coffee again once we get settled.
I don't think there is one...
Mun's reviewing the canon again, but that would be possible. Bummer about the armor, I really like it, but finding out some other powers would be fun.
That would be fun, just leave out the Maggai and the Tong this time. I don't think she'd let me be bulletproof.
