So...I guess we're going to be getting to know each other. And you're already planning to take me somewhere--that might be a bit optimistic, but it'll be nice to meet some new people. I'm certainly not complaining.
Just don't get too ahead of yourself, okay? I know how to wait.

The store didn't have a bigger one.He gives her a smile that's hopeful for her future here.] Welcome, then. Nice to have you. Did you travel far?no subject

...the Earth here? I ain't heard of a place called Bajor. [Scuse the Texas accent on pronouncing her planet's name. His best guess would be it's overseas somewhere. Africa or Europe maybe.]

[Yep, you're talking to a genuine space alien. Have fun with that.]

Space?
...you mean...? [He points up, space is where the stars were, right?]

[She beams at him, all chirpy and cheerful. You got it in one, good job!]

Well. That's far.
[Understatement of the year.]
I mean, so there's other folk out there? Like you? Not just us here?

Yes, and more. I'm Cardassian and Bajoran--those are two different species--but there's a lot more than just us and Humans out there.

Wow. That's...wow. I'm mighty pleased to meet you, Miss... [um] ...Miss Cardass'ian. [Close but not quite. Maybe he should introduce himself instead.] I'm a Texas Ranger...the Lone Ranger they call me. [Please don't give him grief about the mask, everyone keeps asking about it.]

Tora Ziyal, actually--so it would be Miss Tora. But Ziyal is perfectly fine.
[She's a friendly space alien and is not too hung up on propriety for someone who's father is definitely infamous and next best thing to a dictator.]
I've never been to Texas--well, I've never been to Earth in general, so. What's it like, there?

Miss Tora. That's a shame, Texas is...well, it's big. Lots of space. Begging your pardon, ma'am, not the space you got up there or anything but it's big enough for regular folks here. Rough country at times but folks can be tougher. There's cactuses and buffalo...and indians. You probably should watch out for those, they can be too smart for their own good. [He's thinking of ONE indian in particular.]
What's your neck of the woods like?

Still, though you're eager to meet new people, not all people will be eager to meet you. Even worse, those that are may be eager for the wrong reasons.
